Good ol' Maulfan pics like back in the day :clap

I still think it would have made more sense in Terminator Genisys to have Pops fighting a clothed Tech Noir T-800. Surely it would have been easier to film (and been much cooler for us to see). I'm sure their logic was that Pops and Sarah knew where and when he would arrive so as to ambush him immediately (hence no chance to get clothes) but they screw that logic by not having Sarah already in position with that cannon. In a proper ambush it wouldn't have even come to a hand-to-hand fight between Pops and the '84 T-800, they simply could have shot him down instantly with the appropriate weapon rather than Pop's useless shotgun.

I'm excited for the Pops figure, I enjoy the movie enough and more so Arnie's performance. Having taken pics now, I really wish the hair was different on Guardian, it just looks too T2. I actually kind of want thr Hot Toys Guardian, I kind of like old T-800.

It's kinda T2ish but not quite. If an actual T2 T-800 figure had Guardian's hair I'd be disappointed. Thankfully I think NECA nailed it on their T2 line.

Still doubt I'll buy the Hot Toys Guardian but one never knows for sure.

Well yeah, it would be as wrong for T2, but it's definitely closer in overall shape to that look than Genisys. The face came out really good though, looks much nicer than their prototype photo made it look, and Pops looks even better, though I may repaint the hair if it comes out as white as it looks in NECA's photos.

I have 2 Pops on order. I was going to order a third for a custom but in the interests of spending less money I might leave it at two and maybe do the custom on the second - I think a full endoskeleton arm looks more interesting than the shoulder stump the figure provides. However my original plan would have involved some serious carving up of the figure - I'd like to avoid that and find an easier, less destructive way of doing it, I hope it can be done.

Next up though is Sarah Connor. Can't wait for her.

Yes, very eager for Sarah, and I'm curious how Pops' stump will work for swapping out, hopefully the method is not fragile.

Yeah could be a difficult swap-out, not much to grip on to but all the T-800s have been very sturdy, I haven't had a single one of them break so it would be a first. Sarah and the T-1000 with their relatively smaller joints however....the recent Reeve Superman has me worried again.

Debating what looks to go for with the 3 Sarahs I've ordered. Could go one for one of each look - Assassin, ''No Fate'' and Steel Mill. But then again there's more than one Steel Mill part I'd like to recreate in which case I'd leave out the ''No Fate'' version (relatively boring). Not much of a good toy ''context'' for such a figure without having a diorama or something. Whereas a Steel Mill version of Sarah can interact with the T-800 and T-1000 with or without a diorama. Obviously dioramas would be cooler in all cases but that's not possible.

I dunno the T800 is pretty bad ass the only thing I would have changed was a less damaged head

Saw the Genisys line at my TRU.....$34.99!!! WFT!! I know NECA is working hard to bring these Collectables to us but there is a certain price point that goes beyond reason. I know the exchange rate is bad but the price is "ridiculous". Oh and those ALIEN eggs where $39.99?? WTF
