I think its all a matter of being responsible in what you are doing.
I'm looking at it from a point of veiw of
" OK , what Ive done(recasting) isn't exactly politically correct but if I weren't recasting parts( that incidentally I already have purchased and not borrowed) I would not be making the customs as I wouldn't be buying £90+Sideshow figures to canibalise", So Sideshow aren't really loosing anything.
Also I have invested well over £4000 on sideshow figures over the years and will continue to purchase them as long as they are producing a quality product.
If the characters that I produce customs of are ever released as official sideshow figures
, I would be buying them and what I am doing is just making something to tide me by on until then.
My intention was never to put anyones nose out of joint( which hopefully it hasn't, Sideshow or otherwise) , certainly not to make a profit from them (which is gonna be pretty hard considering what they've cost in materials to make), but simply as a way of realising some artistic whims I've had in the past ,present and future.
Finally , I completely agree with you Dorg, its all about helping each other out, and I don't think that anyone Ive talked to so far on the forum would abuse the great work that sideshow do, they are just hyped about what they've produced and want to show it off.
NUFF SAID!!!!!!!!!!!
