According to this Movieweb.com article, Mike Patton, the vocalist for Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Tomahawk, Peeping Tom, etc. will be lending his pipes to TF2:

Mike Patton to Voice Decepticon Mixmaster in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Rumors about musician Mike Patton's involvement in the highly anticipated summer sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen were confirmed today by a "close" friend of the singer (who may or may not live in Philadelphia). More of a cameo than a leading robot, Patton will lend his unique vocal talents to Mixmaster, one of the seven Decepticons that form to create Devastator. He is a concrete mixing truck that serves as the left leg of this gigantically awesome robot.

While Patton's participation in the film was 100% confirmed, the "source" didn't seem quite so positive about the actual robot he would be playing, at times calling him a dump truck (which is actually Long Haul). Either way, he will voice one of the seven vehicles that form Devastator. Patton is said to have landed the gig after producers heard his voice work on the video game The Darkness. This is a big year for the prolific singer, as his score for Crank: High Voltage will be released this coming Tuesday. And he is currently in the midst of embarking on a European reunion tour with his former band Faith No More.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen opens this summer on June 24th, 2009.

My first thoughts - don't even trip...is this the real thing??? Get out! This news came from out of nowhere.

I just read the evidence and I need a pink cigarette. This is definitely a small victory for countless other Mike Patton fiends. Epic. He's got his mojo on for sure. :D

And for those not in the know, Patton is one of the most talented vocalists in entertainment today. He can do it ALL. Check out Angel Dust by Faith No More, California by Mr. Bungle, Peeping Tom by Peeping Tom (heh), The Director's Cut by Fantômas... I could go on and on. The man's a genius. He is beyond qualified to make an evil robot voice with his ridiculously insane range. He is a living cartoon character. Hell, a lot of his experimental stuff with John Zorn sounds like robots smashing into each other. :lol

Mike Patton is the man and a great voice actor! He has done a few voices for video games and only continues to prove his success as a voice actor. MIKE PATTON!!!!!!! :rock

Mike Patton is probably my favorite vocalist of all time. I seriously listen to either Faith No More or Mr. Bungle like once a week. Faith No More is one of the greatest bands ever!!!! Sorry for the gushing, I don't get a chance to discuss Mr. Patton very often :lol BTW his vocal work on the game "The Darkness" was ^^^^ing creepy.

:rolleyes I just threw up a little. :lol

Anyway, great news! :banana I'm actually surprised he doesn't do more voice work for non-music ventures.

He also voicing the main character in the upcoming new Bionic Commando video game.

And since Mike has such a unique voice for doing very strange and otherworldly noises he voiced some of the infected sounds for Left 4 Dead; he also voiced the Anger Sphere in Portal. He also did the creature voices for "I Am Legend".

Wow, this is wild. I am a little disappointed though that nobody mentioned Tomahawk! Mit Gas is my favorite Patton album of them all.

If we mentioned every Patton project, this would be the longest thread ever. :lol

One of the best shows I ever saw was a Melvins / Tomahawk super show on the Mit Gas tour. :rock

Skeleton Key opened, their "percussionist" is a site to behold.

I prefer the self titled Tomahawk album. Mit Gas was a bit too experimental for me. Though it does have one of TH's best songs: "Captain Midnight".

Captain Midnight has some of the best vocals I have ever heard.

I enjoy Mit Gas a little more, but my favorite song on either album is God Hates a Coward.

While this thread is totally hijacked...was anyone else as amazingly disappointed as I was with Anonymous??

Patton's Crank score is very Zorn-Fantomas-ish and heavier than his A Perfect Place score.

I'm looking forward to the release of Mondo Cane and Crudo. :chew

Wish Patton would team up with Jennifer Charles again (Elysian Fields, lovage). Her voice is smooth as butter. :monkey5:drool:love
