Me too. Now i can MAYBE enjoy the game, but i dont have to care about it fitting in with the metal gear universe.

Kinda dissapointed in the new direction but the game should be fun nonetheless. And when i think about it, Raiden is too badass now to be all sneaky like Snake. This is probably what Ive been waiting for actually,a game to really showcase Raiden's over-the-top badassery. And Ive still got MGS 1,2,3,4 and PW to keep me satisfied until MGS5 comes around.

Kind of let down by this. Not getting a Metal Gear vibe from this at all. Way too over the top also. I mean we all now Raiden can break dance 3 Geckos through the air with his feet, but lift up a Metal Gear Ray? No way! But seriously, not liking this one bit. Looked better before. I'd be content chopping watermelons over this frenetic Capcom-esque hack and slash action.

Very let down by the new trailer, this is not "Metal Gear", the graphics are polished but the CG lighting, coloring, and textures they're using is not Metal Gear at all. Also story, WTF, it's a shame this game has "Metal Gear" in the name.

I think it makes sense. Metal Gear Solid is Solid Snake. Metal Gear Rising is just part of the Metal Gear series, but not the Solid Snake story.

Seems they just gave up on the game but felt they had to make it, so they stuck Raiden, some Geckos and a Ray onto a capcom game and hope we'd not notice

With them saying it's not apart of the Metal Gear Solid franchise yet set four years after MGS4 and still having Metal Gear in the title is really poor taste, they're basically selling the Metal Gear name on another non-metal gear game

It may be about Raiden but Rising resembled the tone, and production of MGS series, Revengeance doesn't have any of that.

well it's either let the project die or give it to company who's willing to take a shot at it. kojima went with the latter. guess he didn't want the stuff they already did go to waste. plus it's a spin-off, so he really don't have to worry bout gettin' it mix with his games.

Since the Snakes have the stealth 3rd person games, and Raiden has the hack n slash action game, maybe Meryl and her Rat Patrol 01 team will recieve a First Person Shooter game that finally has a great story for single player unlike many fps games now.
