lol by all means if hot toys ever copies medicom's paint style you can go ahead and slap me, but in all seriousness I will always believe that the first HT batman ever created was a rip off of the medicom one.

having owned both for a short while (the batman begins versions) i could see this as being true. HT hadn't done anything like it to that point, and the style of the suit was VERY similar - had the same look, feel and construction to it. it was still pretty early days for HT back then - it's not far-fetched to think this happened while they were still learning and not innovating.

not sure if everyone remembers those days - think maybe people were still falling over themselves to claim SS were the best 1/6 company around back then to give credit to HT. you know, before the bandwagon drove round to pick everyone up.

Quoted for the Venny. I love Hot Toys but they started out as a bootleg company. They copied stuffs all the time and the Medicom Batman was a great example. Another example that they wanted to use our friend TWKamen's custom Spiderman to copy(with his premission) for reproduction for Spidey 3 figures. Of course they didnt get the liscence.

Hot Toys is awesome and is the King of 1/6 figures but to deny they don't copy other company figs(even it is Medicom) is just plain denial or just naive.

Just ask Steve Jobs about his Mac Os and Bill Gates Windows Os

Like the old war....china (HT) vs japan (medi) and korea (= kojun) just started to help china.
But true, if there wasn´t a MMSDX bats on the way there won´t be a prince cut like that.
Hopefully by the time MMSDX is released or at least previewed the medi price drops even more.

Josh from Small_Studios told me that once I receive him I could send over the head and he is going to repaint the eyes and mouth for me. Man I cannot wait, another thing is i never realized how off the cowl was in the hot toys version until this came out.
