That's even better I didn't realise you'd made a cloth undersuit!
I really want to do similar with the Scout trooper 18" figure, I've made a custom base for all of mine but the only figure I've customised is Phasma to give her a more shiny chrome like finish.


I'm also planning on picking up the 18" Finn figure and putting his head on the new FA stormtrooper figure and giving the armour a clear coat to make it glossy.
Going to use the left over helmet to either put on the base or on his empty hand.

What paint did you use for Phasma? Planning on repainting the 12" line first.

I used Humbrol 27002 Polished Aluminium Metalcote spray.
Picked up the Finn today, popped off the head and put it on the Stormtrooper.

This 31" Vader actually has my attention. I wonder how hard it would be to mod him and give him a real suit and spruce up the accessories?

Ahoy!

Image quality of the pics aren't that great, but I thought I'd share a mod I did some time ago...

I've got Vader mocked up (complete with stotch tape!) with a new cape and inner robes. Haven't done the electrical yet...some day soon I hope!

With a little work, it's a pretty nice display piece!

Rotated for you, this looks fantastic!
A little weathering and adjustments and this looks like a collectible which would cost in the 100's.
I've been making some custom bases for my 18" bigfigs so they fit in with the Premium Format statues a little better been considering getting some putty and changing the poses think I'm definitely going to have to do this now after seeing this. You don't see many people customizing these which is a shame as the quality of the sculpts is really high imo especially on the armoured figures.
I repainted the Captain Phasma in a more chrome looking paint but I can't find a thread for the 18" line.

I changed the title, I think everyone would love to see pics of any of the Jakk's figures regardless of size. The only reason that I had put 31" in the title was because at the time thats all they were making.

I'm waiting for that Vader as well. Any release date? I like that its ESB and not EpIII like the other one. I could do without the movement and sound but for $30 its still a great deal.

I'm not 100% done with it yet, but almost. My repainted and modded 18" Boba Fett

A little side by side. I made it a ROTJ version instead of the ESB version as it comes.

New addition to my collection. The BB-8 from Jakks 31inch figure line. Unfortunately the BB-8 is much to large compared to the other 31inch figs. - It fits better in Jakks 48inch line. Check the pic with the 48inch Trooper.
