The funny thing is, that to me the Batpod's paint in TDK movie seems to be more shiny than in TDKR, while it seems to be the other way around with the Hot Toys releases.
But it could still be a question of lightning.
Anyway, I think both models are the same, only with two slightly different paintings, but both are nice in their own way. Only the cape holder of the first release is much better in any way.

Indeed! Where did you order your acrylic?

I got the acrylic from www.tapplastics.com, just provide them with the dimensions and they will custom cut it for you. The acrylic sheets with shipping was only $40. It ships flat and each sheet is protected with the film so you don't have to worry about it breaking or scratching.

I ordered mine from gohastings and got my shipping notice today. They said it takes 24-72 hours to process then they ship. If its past that time I'd call or email them.
