I think HT made Luke younger-looking and "puffier" with this sculpt.

Eesh. Yeah the sculpt isn't great. Kinda a bummer considering how much closer the Ahch-To sculpt is. I hope they tweak it. I was looking forward to this figure, but the sculpt seems to have the same puffy/beautification issues as the Ep3 Obi-Wan.

it's symbolic for Luke because he's rejected the saber twice in the film when Rey offers it to him prior. It's him accepting the saber and his status/mantle of Luke Skywalker, the legend.

I like this reasoning best.

The sculpt really shines in the photos with the hood up. The non-hooded photos look like they've been airbrushed to ****, which I think is the main detractor from the sculpt.

After closer inspection perhaps it's not 100%, but I learned never to judge head sculpts on protos or, especially after Jedi Luke, most blogger photos. I'm sure it'll receive a tweak here and there and be just fine by the time he arrives for Episode IX.

I'm just hoping he's not $240+, he's a little light on accessories (not that there's much of anything to include).

Other than being a tip off, it's symbolic for Luke because he's rejected the saber twice in the film when Rey offers it to him prior. It's him accepting the saber and his status/mantle of Luke Skywalker, the legend. I also like that he is ending his journey with his father's lightsaber, the one he started it with.

I think HT is headed for a year of bare-bones figures for nominal prices due to the unpredictable tariff situation. Could be that large expensive items just aren't in the cards for 2019 -- like Speeder bikes.

HT will take a hit with tariffs on Darth Maul speeder bike if things aren't sorted out by then. If not, it will get pushed and pushed and pushed...

Hey, welcome to the forum!

If you want to talk about Solo, there’s a Solo speculation thread on page 2, you could post your wants in there. There’s one dedicated to RO as well on page 1 (and always seems to stay there (but nothing’s coming!))

You could always make your own thread if you want to talk about figures you wish to see, unless there is one I’m unaware of and someone wants to point it out.

I wouldn’t mind a Qi’Ra figure myself.

Hi Wendy. Welcome.

Personally I'd doubt HT will make Qi'ra or any more Solo figures. Mainly cause the film bombed. HT likes to ride on popularity. Money talks...

There's a few threads like that which you mentioned. Just do a search is the best way.

Sculpt is looking way too young but everything else looks great. I really like the base.

Still a pass for me, though. Not a big fan of the sequels, especially TLJ.

I wonder if HT is basing this more off the flashback scenes, where he did appear de-aged a bit compared to how he looked at the end of the movie.
