Hot Toys shipper boxes

I'm looking at a "new" HT figure on eBay and seller claims that it's part of the initial Hong Kong batch, so it never had a brown shipper box.

Is this true? It makes sense, since the shipper boxes look like Sideshow items and I assume they add them for the international market.

Sounds like it could be legit if the item was intended to be picked up and not shipped.

From what I've read that's true. The Hong Kong release (or at least the ones bought from Secret Base) don't include the shipper.

Went to secret base in Jan while in HK - no shippers when picking up figures, bigger items like the Delorean did though

there are a couple of ebay sellers that sell hundreds of hot toys? do they buy the hot toys in bulk cheap? and sell for normal price

depends, if the figures are bulk shipped in a bigger shipper box to shops they won't have them. if the shops only stock 2 or 3 they will be sent via individual shipper box.

None of the 6 figures I've bought from China have come with the brown shipper.

Yeah it is a weird phenomena the brown shipper box. I always mail stuff out in them lol.
