Hot Toys sets Sideshow's shipping rates on Hot Toys products?

I emailed Sideshow and asked them why the "shipping deals" on some items, (Hot Toys Hawkeye, for example) are higher than the rate I would normally pay on a 1/6 figure to my location. This was the response:

Please know that the $30.00 flat rate shipping to Canada is our rate given to us by Hot Toys. If you would like further information as to why the rate is the way it is, I would recommend contacting Hot Toys directly. Their customer service e-mail address is [email protected].
