Cause people in CA have to pay the tax so we get to order earlier lol. I had the chance, sat on it, and decided it's not worth paying $350 (shipping + taxes) for this figure.

It's a slap in the face but it's not made with their hand.

how do you figure? wasn't it sideshow that put this figure up in this manner? if there was a PPO and everyone was given a week's notice, the collector can't feel bad about not getting one because he had a shot. pretty poor method demonstrated by ss and certainly did NOT give all an equal shot.

I live in Canada as well as was pretty disappointed we were restricted on this purchase by Sideshow especially since I was ordering at 6PM EST - my only hope is someone like Toys2 in Toronto get some as they do direct business with Hot Toys I believe.

Toys2 usually gets the Hot Toys/Sideshow exclusives they have the Phil Coulson up for pr-order, you'll pay a bit of a premium but better than evilbay.

Unfortunately when there's far fewer pieces available than there are people that want one, no release method is going to be interpreted as the right and "fair" way to do things by folks who only got candy when they unwrapped their Wonka bar...

What's the draw with this guy anyway? Is is that he's a little more battle damaged than the regular version is with the swap-out parts or because they're saying he's a special promotional item?

Oh, I sent him an email too...
Doesn't make sense if the other distributors aren't going to carrying them why make SS restrict who they can sell them too?

Because this is Hot Toys decision. They want it limited to SSC and within the states. The Mark VI Promo was also only sold through SSC.

SS used another piece of human anatomy to slap the collector in their proverbial face.

no words to describe the feeling of betrayal by sideshow. earlier in the week, a ss customer service told me and i quote...'everyone signed up for newsletter alerts will get a notification when more information is available so all will have an equal chance.' sending an email saying BUY NOW!!! is an equal chance? especially at a time where a good amount of people on the east coast will either be on their way home from work or leaving to go out for the night. people in california had a nice 2-3pm order time. got to wonder why a PPO wasn't done here.

Meh. Everyone complaining about not getting this can only blame themselves. The newsletter gave everyone a fair chance to sign up for the notification e-mail. I didn't see the notification email today till two hours after it hit my inbox at 3:04PM and I ended up ordering it on my cellphone on the way home from work... on the BART train... going through the tunnel underneath the Bay from SF to the East Bay... with dead spots the whole way. By the time I ordered at 5:20PM, people on the East coast could've been home in front of their computers with a high speed connection. :pfft:

Have a look a few pages back in this thread. Half the clowns ordering it are cheerfully posting because "it's resell value will be huge d00d!".

I thought about ordering this one but would have to cancel something. In the end I know this will go for double later on. I'm not into flipping figs and will be happy with the mark 7 and iron man 3 version with patriot thats plenty of enough suits for me. I only own 1 other mark 6 exclusive and thankfull a member sold it to me after it sold out. Very suprised it already at checkin inventory status.

For me its the total BD. Never have liked the partials. Mark V would have looked bad *** if he came shreaded .

I'm very happy with just getting the avengers suit that has battle damage options and lots of other goodies and is 50 bucks less. I bet this might pop up back in stock due to credit card declines.
