I have my joker (you can check now the dx joker thread to see the pics) put on a "road" without any stand whatsoever for about half a year maybe more, and i had no problems :S

My Blade doesn't stay up well on his own. Assuming yours is as stable as mine I'd say use a stand Viezure.
