Right I love my han solo, but I really don't like the head sculpt.

I spent ages looking around and found the one I liked the most, which was the indy one. I think that one is brilliant. But he needs different hair.

So I thought it was time I had a bash at sculpting. Chuffin eck it really tough. But this is what we have got so far.

This is my first one.

Same problem. Looks weird with the hair parted to the side instead of feathered down the middle.

I really liked the first bash but I have one more indy head... precious though it is I gotta give it a go.... so in try Uncle Chewie Chop Shop style... OUT WITH THE CHAINSAW

Well it early stages but you can get the idea. Looks uber odd with green hair. Wish I had a few more to practice on.

I would love to see it.
This is only the second time I have had a play with this sculpting lark! The other Han head was the first, so I am learning bucket loads and I am really giving it my all but chuff me its bleedin hard.

Bust out some nail polish remover and remove the beard, it might help with the overall picture. I think the right side bangs need to puff up a bit.

Cheers for the tip I will have a bash at that now. and yep you are dead right about the hair. Needs to go up a bit. But every pic I find of Han his hair is different even in the film!!

Any way this is him at the mo.

Looking at him now I can see the entire hair line is too low... v sad :monkey2

I am an amature sculptor, and hair is actualy something i CAN sculpt.
Dorg, some advice. whatever it is you're using to sculpt with, cover it with vasaline/ petroleum jelly.
kneadite sticks to EVERYTHING, and that makes it MUCH easier to work with. also, mix some Vasaline in with the stuff when you are combining the yellow and green parts.

If you don't already have one, get a games workshop sculpting tool, they are FANTASTIC. so are old dental tools.

You sir are a gent and a scholar. Sounds messy! Goodie!!
When I manage to get another head may i pick your brains again?

I love that 1:6 AT-ST in the background! :chew
