Does anyone know when the GL movie panel will take place at comic-con? So badly wanted to go this year, but hopefully recaps and footage will come shortly after.

Well, Friday and Thursday's panels are up and it isn't there, so I'm imagine it has to be Saturday. I would imagine any Marvel (Thor, Cap, etc) would be on Saturday as well.

The GL presentation & panel will take place during the overall Warner Bros presentation (along with Zack Snyder's SUCKER PUNCH :rock) on Saturday of con from 11:45 - 1:15.

The Marvel Studios presentation (THOR & CAPTAIN AMERICA) is also on Sat, 6:00-7:00.

That means I'll be getting there early and spending all day in Hall H. Too bad they couldn't have the WB and Marvel panels a bit closer together. I don't want to see a lot of the other stuff on Hall H, but once you leave that place now, you never know when/if you'll get back in. :(

And the biggest news of today is...

Holy $#!t thats awful!!
Way to blow it Hollywood deuche bags.
Who come up with this stupid crap?
Ugh.
From the neck down looks :slap.
Why is it mimicking his musculature?
Good luck with that Hot Toys.
Too damn distracting.

I can't say that the costume looks good judging from that picture but I will wait for a full reveal rather than just a torso shot. Maybe in motion it will look better but it looks like too much of a departure from a more iconic look.

In the future, when folks talk about how comic costumes would look ridiculous if made "real," this will be exhibit A. Looks horrifically bad. So bad, it is almost good. I really hope this is just a bad angle or something.

Fanboys of the world, get ready to go green. As all of Hollywood (and many a costumed nerd) gears up for next week’s Comic-Con convention in San Diego, EW provides a behind-the-scenes look at the making of next summer’s highly anticipated superhero movie Green Lantern. Ryan Reynolds stars as Hal Jordan, a cocky test pilot who becomes a ring-wearing intergalactic superhero in this massive sci-fi epic from director Martin Campbell (Casino Royale). Though Reynolds has prior experience in the superhero realm from his role as Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, playing Green Lantern involved some major challenges, like getting hurled through the air on a wire at up to 60 feet per second to create the illusion of flight. “The first time you do it, you’re seriously considering an adult diaper,” Reynolds says. Still, he couldn’t resist the chance to play the beloved DC Comics hero, whose power ring can conjure virtually anything he can dream up. “Will and imagination are his superpowers,” Reynolds says. “We need a circus of Timothy Learys to think of things Hal would invent with his ring.”

At work unfortunately regretting a favor I agreed to a while back in subbing for a week in summer school :banghead:

I actually kind of like it, looks organic almost and from what I was able to find online, the glow that you see is just one of the effects shots that it won't actually glow all the time. Not to keen on the monochromatic color scheme or the swirls. I like the mask shape and that finally a film is giving the "white eyes" but if you blow my pic up huge you'll see it almost looks like make up instead of CGI or even a physical mask.

I'll say this I'm fanboying all over the place right now and can't wait for the panel!
