Custom c3po

I have the Hasbro electronic 3po but hate the weathering. I want a clean 3po. Can someone let me know if the regular 12" can be taken apart like the electronic one. Does it have screws holding it together? I'm thinking about doing a swap. Taking all the guts out of mine and putting it into a clean one. This is only way I can think of due to the gold finish.

The clean has standard screws just like the electronic. It is the same figure really. I am not sure if the electronic guts would interchange easily though. There is also the version that came with the book that has detachable limbs. I always was a big fan of the hasbro 12" 3pos.
