Sorry.. but you do'nt need to do that with Crysis 2..the differences are really noticiables between both versions .

Just play one demo version and then the other version in the same HDTV and settings (HDMI, contrast, Brightness, colour .. ).. and you'll notice "many different things" dude :wink1:

I have the ps3 version and your right, I played the 360 beta and it looked alot sharper withouit having it here now. Like I said previous, I felt a little let down and to say this is the best looking console game is not true. This does not stand up to the likmes of killzone 3 ...
It still looks decent tho and is a good game

Just play trought the main campaign, and then judge for yourself :wink1:

I never said that Cryss 2 has the better graphics to date, but it'st true that the online and campaign graphics are two worlds apart.
Like I said before, play the main campaign before judging the poor graphics showed on the demo (both versions)

Well I have the full ps3 version and I remember it not looking as sharp as the 360 demo.
Quick question regarding the ign vid review, Were they showing that on the 360 or pc?
If that was the 360, It looks very good for a console platform.

Here is the in depth screen comparisons for the RETAIL versions of the game. As you can see, the retail version of the PS3 version is much better looking that the demo. In fact, both versions of the game look very close to each other. Either version will likely satisy.

I can tell a difference, but I can't tell which one is better. What matters more to me is framerate.

IGN gave the 360 version a higher rating in graphics. Which version are the Freaks getting? Would like to play with people I know.

Going to pick up a PC copy later tonight. Can't wait! What I really like about this game's design is that it's expansive vertically as well as horizontally. Many more dynamic gameplay options than on a flat area of jungle -- not that I didn't love the first Crysis games, but this one's extra polishing and control focus just might make it a perfect game for me.

Looks like they're pretty similar. But there are noticeable differences between the two, however they aren't the type where one platform is better than the other. It looks like the game is optimized for the platform and so some textures might look better in different situations

I have read IN ALL REVIEWS spanish, French and UK that the 360 version is the better (graphics and frame rate).. so this comparision on Lens of Thruth have not any sense. ¿¿???:cuckoo:

I smell that this is may be a "Marketing" distraction of Critek.. I mean, they have received many blows of angry PS3 users (due to the poor demo quality ) and have been loosing many preorders..:(
Besides, on this review (lens of truth) they say that in a couple of days (when things are calmer) they,ll put the a full review and a FR comparision.. weird really weird :monkey1

PS3...Xbox..it's not a big enough difference to matter. I'm confident that whichever system you buy this for, the graphics will be more than good enough.

:lecture Truth. I'm also inclined to make one minor edit, though... *hangs head in shame and types the following*:

PS3...Xbox..it's not a big enough difference to matter -- after all, the PC version is the most-likely to include every pixel of work they've ever put into this title.

Fixed. And I'm done now :). Going to leave in 15 mins to grab my copy of the game. Ooh, ooh, ooh. Can't wait!

It's games like this I look forward to most in the year. True, I love Duke Nukem and am pumped to get my hands on it, but I'm not expecting anything out of that game besides an HD trip down memory lane meant for fans of the originals. Crysis 2 and Rage on the other hand... these are must-plays.

You guys, stop the debate, PC has the best graphics! End of Story. =P

But seriously though, this is one of the best looking game on either console Xbox360/PS3.

Enjoy the game for what it is and have fun is more important!

Gametrailers are my favourite review site. If they like it then I'm super pumped. I tend to agree with thier scores. Ign and gamespot can jog on.

I am installing the game now. :) Pretty excited. I put my graphics card on overdrive mode just for this to get more juice even though it creates a lot of heat and fan noise.

It's sad to see the PS3 always suffering when a game comes out across all both platforms.

This is what IGN said: Crysis 2 looks great on PS3, but a worse framerate, lower resolution, and missing effects compared to the 360 release hurt it. PS3 owners expect more.

I haven't seen both in action but those screenshots side by side, the PS3 looked far better than the 360 in terms of lighting and effects.
It seems the 360 runs better but looks the worst out of all the versions, and the ps3 looks fairly better but runs horrible.
