Defects already? Oy!

:slap

Well, Tom, at least your replacement (while unfortunate) gives you another shot at #42, right? :p

That's really not my intention!!! Although nobody will believe it!!

:D

I know I could do something tacky to fix it but I want it to stand up on its own. And with something that visible, I don't think its unreasonable.

note - the helmet flare doesnt exist on the ROTJ fett.

Oh, it's not unreasonable at all. Especially considering how SSC handled this whole thing.

Anyone who was loyal enough to stick with these things at $325 should not settle for a single defect. And you of all people Tom deserve a perfect PF Fett.

I know this ended up being a controversial piece, but this was my dream statue and it totally blew me away. I am really just so happy with it. It's the ultimate Star Wars PF and the detail is just amazing. I love it to death and I can safely say that of all the collectibles I own from all the lines from all the different companies, this one is without a doubt my very favorite. It's not just my favorite Fett collectible, it's my favorite collectible... PERIOD.

It is everything I hoped it would be and I consider this to be a home run, five star, standing ovation, crowning achievement from Sideshow. This is my favorite character of all, realized absolutely perfectly in 1/4 scale. I am actually a little bummed because there will never be another piece that, for me, can ever be as satisfying as this one. It's all downhill from here. Many of us have our own dream pieces, and to actually have mine produced and receive it yesterday was a very happy moment. None of the plastic controversy can dampen my enthusiasm for this--not a bit. Personally, this is the best you can get.

I just got an email that they have upped my flexpay payment day to today and Boba will ship in the next 5 days.:chew

Tom, I have just one word for you: CINEMAQUETTE !!

Seriously, as much as you obviously love this piece, if Cinemaquettes were to ever produce a Boba Fett, I feel reasonably certain it would replace the Sideshow PF as your favorite piece (assuming you would shell out the $1750 or so to get it!). :D

Glad to hear you feel that way.

That would almost certainly be outside my budget, but I would consider it. It would just mean not ordering about 30 of the next 12" figures and mini-busts.

That picture on the right certainly doesn't look like a ROTJ picture to me as the color of the gauntlet on his right arm is yellow and the jumpsuit is also not the right color. It doesn't look like ESB coloring either so I'm assuming that it's a prototype suit or something, but I'm not totally sure about that. Either way, it's definitely not how the ROTJ helmet is supposed to look.

The one on the left is a promo shot for ESB and the one on the right is a pic of the pre-production costume. Neither is the ROTJ suit.

Yes, I took some this morning. It got stuck in my throat and I've had a stiff neck all day.

Nigel Powers everyone! Tom glad to see that you feel you scored big with this piece, aside from your issue anyway, always nice to see when someone eagerly awaits a piece, that it lives up to their every expectation.
