Big question regarding actually opening a Hot Toys figure.

Hi Guys.

I want to do the big EL wire mod on my Whiplash MK2, but I´m stuck trying to opening him up.

Firebird and I both tried opening ours independently (seperated thousands of miles) and we tried it all, as a last resort even nail polish remover WITH acetone to soften the glue.

Nothing.

I know that big customizers are here and I need help.
I have a finished pic in my head and I wanna get there, but I need advice.

Maybe just do the EL wire from the hands down. Can get messy otherwise.

Are you talking about cracking open the bodies? I believe they are sonic welded and not glued. chisel them open. Use a thin screwdriver head to get in there and wedge them open.

Sonic welded? I never heard that before.
I tried wedging them open, man. To no avail.
That´s why I ask, y´know?

You may be doing more harm than good trying to crack open a figure. theyre not meant to be opened up. Crack or chip something and you'll regret it. This isnt some generic body your trying to open. But best of luck.
