Re: wasn't there?
AHG! THAT SUCKS! I didn't know, I must have missed that documentary. That's reasonable though since I have missed probably 75% of all the documentaries on the EE appendix discs.
Having a very minimized amount of blood in the movies has always bothered me, that's one of my most major unvoiced complaints about The Lord of the Rings movies. Another movie that came out recently that has the same effect is Alien Vs Predator- low amount of blood to bring the rating to kiddie level so it can be marketted for younger audiences for more money.
oh well, at least it came out so I"m happy.

Quote:
Realistically, when you slice off a Fell Beast's head, blood would gush out!

True that! The first time I saw that I thought "hey that's really really weird looking.. where's the blood, for crying out loud!"
it's not like eowyn's sword was red hot when she cut the head off.. but who cares really.
One thing- there IS a nice pile of blood gushing in one shot in the movie- in moria, when Aragorn or Boromir chop the head off the one orc who is REALLY ugly, and has that nasty squeal voice... I seem to remember there being a momentary torrent of black blood.
