EVILFACE
Super Freak
Yea, I rolled at that cab scene.
I've seen none of this, but learned Ian McShane is involved, without spoiling anything can someone elaborate on his role, is he a central character?
Loved Ian McShane in the role of Santa....
Spoiler:Some will like it and others will hate it. Those that hate it will be much more vocal in their displeasure than those who liked it.
My prediction

Spoiler:So none of the story we watched actually happened? Doesn't that mean Kit goes down for the murders, Bloody Face is still active, the experiments still go on, and the demon still possesses the nun? No one turns out ok but Lana...

Uh... what? Why do you think that?
For me, I thought it was such a satisfying finale. I never thought AHS would actually make me tear up a little.
Lana Winters, Kit and Jude were definitely some amazing characters and I thought the various ends of their stories here were great.
Spoiler:What was the last scene with Jude and Lana about? Wasn't it the same as the first episode, but instead of pursuing the story Lana decides to leave? I may have misinterpreted it.

Spoiler:I suppose it's possible they were showing what "really happened" but they could also just be showing what a difference Lana's ambition made (in a good way, ultimately) even as Jude is warning against it. I'd say if Lana had left then NOTHING we saw came true, including future Lana and her confrontation with her son.

Spoiler:that it was more to emphasize the line that if you look evil in the face, it will look right back at you...which is what Lana had done with Bloody Face and her son. But I suppose it could mean that none of what we saw in the season actually happened...but I see that as a very remote possibility.
I wish they would have showed more of the alien storyline as well...but was very pleased by the ending and how the main character's stories were wrapped up. I was glad that Lana killed her son...even if he was feeling some remorse or questioning his previous actions to try and make his father proud, I think it was just a momentary set back and he probably would have still tried to kill her in the end. I wonder if the aliens will come for Kit's kids when it's their time to pass...or if their primary interest was only in Kit.
Spoiler:Lana did leave after she first visited Briarcliff, remember? She left and someone told her about the secret tunnel and that's how she got caught, since she came back at night. It was just showing that the conversation at the beginning of the season foreshadowed what happened later
Spoiler:The alien stuff really didn't work, they shouldn't have had that as part of the story, and I think they kind of lost the horror part, none of it was scary, horror for this is more of a disgust rather than fear. Theyh did wrap it up pretty well, good ending for Jude and it was awesome Lana had no problem manipulating Johnny and then just shooting him.

That's how I remembered it! That's why I thought the ending was just sort of a book end thematically. But it had been a long time since I'd seen the first episode.
I read somewhere today that Sarah Paulson has agreed to be in the next season. I wonder what other actors we will see again.
