For the Transformers Prime toys, besides packaging. Is there any difference with the First Edition Has, First Edition Tak and RID Prime with the toy itself? Paint app, moldings, etc?

Differences between First Edition Hasbro/Takara is just paint. The RID figures are entirely new. No Takara versions of them seen yet, so no word if they will look better or not, but they will have Minicons that turn into weapons. No pic of RID Bulkhead yet, but he IS coming.

Got my FE Habro Bumblebee and Takara Arcee along with my first 3rd party accessory the War Axe for my WoC Optimus

These things look great. Doing to do some detail paint work on Arcee soon

Crap! Thanks for the side by side pictures. It's a huge difference, hasblo really dropped the ball on this one. That RID Prime looks like crap compared to the FE. Damn now I really need to find the FE toys. I love TF Prime series.

Edit: just PO'd FE Prime figures at HLJ who has them on back order. Only one they don't have is Optimus Prime, hope I can still find him.

Thanks so much Deak! Just got back from target! They had one case of voyagers and one of deluxes!

I picked up Soundwave and wheeljack and one Megatron and one Optimus voyager.

To me, RID Optimus doesn't look too bad. I think I'll be able to live with it. I'm thinking of modding the sword to fit like it did in the show and some paint mods. I'm hoping I can find a way to make a better gun or make the one he comes with better

I'm pretty happy with them over all though

I couldn't resist it, I just took the plunge and purchased a TF Prime First Edition Optimus Prime on eBay. The Takara is slightly different on the gray area.

I thought the FE is cancelled? Why do BBTS still have the FE for PO?

Yea idk why they still have the FE Hasbro Deluxes, but Takara never said they were canceling their FE Figures. I've been waiting and hoping to see Optimus go back up like how Cliffjumper and Bulkhead have

Yeah I'm waiting for Optimus too, I purchased the US version on eBay. As for the rest I went to HLJ who has it cheaper for the rest of the FE minus Optimus.

Well, I decided to pick up the TF: Prime Arcee and Cliffjumper for myself. I was tempted to get Prime as well, but looking at him in the box, I was a bit underwhelmed.

I'm not even sure I want the Takara version either. I mean, it's OPTIMUS PRIME, so we're bound to get a better one down the road, right? Hopefully one with dual cannons/swords, and either his proper facesculpt or at least the option to display him as such.

Don't get me wrong, it's still a nice figure, but these things cost $30+tax up here, and I just think we'll see something better down the road. I can be patient. I'm pretty sure we won't get a better Cliffy, though, seeing as how he died in the first episode, and there was only one Arcee left, so...

Probably would have picked up Bulkhead too, but they were long gone. I still want a Takara version, but at this point I might be happy with the Hasbro one.

Anyway, I'll be back in Halifax in about a week. If anyone still wants a Prime (I'm making an educated guess that there will be no Bulkheads) or some of the Deluxes then, hit me up. I can try, at least.

EDIT: Ha! Forgot to comment on this. Anyway, nice buy. This was what I was originally going to do, until they announced the new MP Starscream... Still, looks good. Makes me wonder if I should just keep my Walmart Starscream and Skywarp and get this.

I just recently rounded out the Prowl trio with Bluestreak and Smokescreen. The Henkei ones. Great mold, but I wish they had the "open hands" that newer Transformers have, like Wheeljack and Jazz. Still, awesome. Only G1 guy I need in Deluxe-size now is Sideswipe, though I suppose we all need a decent Trailbreaker, Grapple and Skids to round out the '84/'85 Autobots.

We'll see. I figure he'll be reissued at some point if I change my mind. We've probably got at least two more seasons of this, right?

As much as I like the Prime figures, I can't go crazy... We're running out of space in the car (visiting relatives), I've been buying LOTS of GI Joe figures (what a great couple of waves we've had recently! ) and I still need to pay for the last two TFC Herc-bots...
