Statue Advise needed ... what are the must have ¼ scale Star Wars statues

Hi guys

I have been collecting Marvel and a few other lines, but now I just landed the Sideshow ¼ scale snowtrooper, and it's lovely

Now id like to expand this line, with Vader, Luke, Solo, chewbacca, storm trooper ... etc .. all in ¼ scale, so I ask for advise from you guys, what are the must haves for each statue in the star wars lineup ? overpriced grails probably can be skipped

Any advise is much appreciated !

well must haves are always depending on personal preference ... there are always pieces I like better then others and in the eyes of other collectors im totally wrong with my opinion...

Then also it counts, whats your focus... OT only? Sith and Jedi? EU? Or any SW that is just looking great?

I'd like to get the main characters for now, and I understand the answer is hard as it depends on taste, but what i'm looking are for the most accurate / good quality I can find.

Example, I saw an old Han Solo from sideshow

But the quality/likeness doesn't look all that great, so I wonder what is is there that is better in ¼ scale, or if thats all thats available

well then you have bad cards.. cause all the main characters are bad in likening IMO .. Chewbacca looks great.. but the luke, han, leia's are all not on the same level as the newer statues unfortunately ...

one of my favorites from MOVIES are:

- HT Boba Fett
- General Grievous with Cape
- The Droids FOR SURE
- Emperor on throne
- Chewbacca

The 3 PFs Luke has are decent though, so is ANH Leia, although you have to watch out for yellow stains on her white dress.
Chewie - I totally love mine! You can still get him for around retail.

That's the only Solo, so far.

The main cast PFs are kind of dated and doesn't look too good, imo. I'd go with Vader, Boba, some troopers. Maybe Chewie.
Original trilogy still.

I had the old Maul and sold it.. just didnt liked the look of him and the stance they put him in.. the new one looks fantastic in every way - even its overpriced

Yeah, while I was writing here I just went ahead and PO'd it, small run compared to the others SS is doing now, so probably will be gone soon

Now to wait almost 1 year to get it !!

I love the new SS Boba Fett & the HT Boba Fett. Totally different pieces in their build & from different movies, so that's a win win .


Some people don't like the Snowtrooper, but I love mine. Again, like MYC said earlier, it's personal preference.


& I don't have a photo of him, but I think SS did a great job on Chewbacca.

Those are mine.. I prefer the HT .. but keep in mind that the pose make or break this piece.. with a bad pose this will look like a doll !!

If you are only collecting OT Star Wars statues, I highly recommend the Jedi Knight Luke PF. The face sculpt is great, and its one of my favorites in my collection.
