Advice Needed to Avoid Heat Damage (mostly Hot Toys)

Hi,

Looking to use some space in a spare room in order to put up a few more detolfs to display a variety of hot toys. Just a little concerned about this idea because the room has direct sunlight coming into the room and the temperature can get high.

Looking for ideas on how to protect the cabinets and minimise heat damage. I plan on putting a cloth over the cabinet, but that won't necessarily stop the heat issue.

Figures I have are listed below and I'm conscious that some are rubber based so wouldn't like to see them melt!

Heat? Direct sunlight damages collectables.

I never open the curtains in my collection room

Move to the UK, the sun never comes out here.

You might worry about your collection getting washed away in a flood though.

I have blackout blinds in my man cave, so the sun just bounces right back. ish.

I think there's a lining to specifically assist with reflective the heat back

but the Sun isn't always going to be directly shining on them so once it's moved position, I open the blinds to get some naturaly light in.

That pesky Sun - one way to look at it is that it's apparently having a bit of a lull at the moment, so you could say the SUn is getting what it deserves.

Somehow...

Thanks guys, appreciate the ideas!

I think I'll have to go with option of installing some blackout blinds and keep the room in the dark (or partially let the sunlight in when it's not too bright).

p.s. I live in the UK, no flooding issues though!
