Thanks for the tip. I normally just use my wife's hair dryer and I was very worried about the boots with the heat. Were you able to get the boots on to a Hot Toys body just by heating the boots?

I really like this one. Such a nicely detailed piece and I think the real hair just takes it to the next level. Anyone know how many of these ACI is planning to produce? I'd like to see their take on Gandalf the White, Legolas, Gimli, Arwen, etc. I'll probably get the Asmus versions as well, but will be nice to have some options on the key characters.

Clothing looks great, sculpt/hair still make him look like a She-Male tranny.

I think that relates to a quality of hairing and futzing with the sculpt. Implanted hair on all figures is just a matter of time. And remember, they are consulted by master elvis1976 on hairing.

WOW!

I'm really blown away. That is just fantastic. I love the material, colors used on the outfit. The gear looks excellent. Even got the stitching on the upper biceps of the shirt. Just an incredible figure.

Between this, Asmus' and Darren's SS repaint my house is going to be flooded with Aragorns in 2015. I don't think I have ever had three incarnations of any figure in 1/6 before but so far they all seem to have their merits. I am not sold on the hair or the torch but the rest of it looks fantastic to me. Shoot since they went the extra mile and have his full shirt underneath the duster, so you have show the ranger look or the Amen Hen look, I am going to have to fight the desire for two of them.

Very very nice outfit! Also I like the figure proportions...what kind of body is it? Only thing that troubles me is the color of sword&scabbard...are they black instead of green?

They gave a release date of march and a price of 220 bucks

The exclusive is for hong kong; the store has a po for that as well but i'm not sure about other places.

Except for the head sculpt the whole thing looks incredible. From the time the first images were available of the head sculpt I was never sold on it. Of course I don't think the head sculpt that Asmus is showing looks much like Aragorn either. The pic before the torch pic I can see the most resemblance to Aragorn. If the price quoted is correct then it is much better than I expected it to be.

Head sculpt in some pics looks ok while others doesn't really resemble him.
But overall, it's an amazing piece - that I will not buy. Just no heores for me.
