Re: 1-6th X-wing project

Yeah all dripping and muddy and covered in weeds, that would be amazing.... Think I would have to build the back end for that :)

OH YES! Please do, that's the only thing missing from this otherwise perfect X-Wing! After all, it's kinda hard to have an X-Wing fighter without any 'X' wings.

And after that you could mount model rocket engines inside.. then a navigational computer with artificial intelligence, and then it could fly by itself! It could visit each of the Sideshow freaks... Perhaps with a little present, just like Santa...

Well, maybe not that last bit.... But I def think you should slap some wings and engines on the back some day.

Still incredibly awesome without wings though!

Re: 1-6th X-wing project

Did you actually make a 1/6 X-Wing out of styrofoam? Or are you just joking?

When I was but a wee lad I made an x-wing out of cardboard and paper. It wasn't entirely impressive, and needless to say, didn't last long.

It was the Hoth diorama I made out of styrofoam. Mom found the idea in some craft magazine. That one junked up my room for several months.

:lol That must've been fun.

When I was about maybe 8 or 9, I'd make little castles out of paper all the time. Had to throw em away after a few months though, they got all smashed and bent. I wish I had thought to make Star Wars stuff, that would've been MUCH cooler! :doh :lol

Hey Dorgs , I just realised the stupidity I displayed asking if you needed any Rebel Pilot gear ! :rotfl

Re: 1-6th X-wing project

Noooooooo..... The X-wing they put in the water warped and came apart. All of the shots of it sitting on land were shot prior. The waterlogged prop was busted up after filming.

That's terrible! Poor X-Wing... :(

Re: 1-6th X-wing project

So full of win!!! Awesome, awesome work Dorgs... and having all the pilots and mechanics around really sells the piece :rock

Re: 1-6th X-wing project

That was the one! Thanks!!! I remember how cool it looked in the magazine vs my finished product. They must have had someone like Dorgs working there. Mine was somehow missing the most essential part... the personnel launcher.

... from the famous deleted "trampoline scene" on Hoth. I hope it's an extra on the Blu-Ray.

The Dagobah playset was really missing a five foot X-wing mockup. Dorgs owns these guys.

"OK little robot, you're going to give me your lunch money or I'm going to beat you with this piece of rebar."

This pic is great. This could be a movie still.

Yeah I know! I (being a total Photoshop junkie) was thinking, "Ok, which of these piccies can I photoshop to make them look cooler?"

Then I realized it wasn't possible. :lecture They're already at maximum awesomeness.

Re: 1-6th X-wing project

Mark this project is stunning! Really unbelievable. The funny thing is you make it seem so easy. What next in line! I think I will go for the bottom of the Sandcrawler. Maybe one and a half tracks or something. :slap:wink1:
