Good old George is full excuses and explanations for stuff like that. :lol

Well if that is the case, mabee they got the idea from Fed EX, since every time I get a package from them, it seems like they dragged it behind the delivery truck. :gah:

By god that made me laugh:rotfl:exactly:

i have received packages in the past from various agents that i can not even begin to imagine what hardships they endured enroute!!

Eck I nip to the hanger (shed) and when I come back you are all talking about your packages!!!!!!! Well my package is in pristine condition I do not allow others to kick it about! or allow any one to drag it about!!!! Shocking behaviour! Next you will be bragging about how you had to go on a manual handling course to tech you to lift your package correctly with out damaging your back due to the enormous size of your package!!

Well back from the shed after copious amounts of swearing and only one minor accident with the jigsaw and a thumb but nothing a bit of super glue and tape will not fix (blood gets everywhere) I have to hide all mishaps from the mrs or she will not let me play with sharp things unsupervised.

So a morning in the hanger chopping wood... pleased... errr NO.

All gone a little pear shaped and my big cunning plan turned into a loud swear word that I do hope nun on my neighbours heard.

anyway pics coming shortly

right a couple of pics prior to jigsaw incident ... sorry about being slow hard to type with one hand!

I learned that on my own, early on out of necessity. :lol

Great job so far on the speeders by the way.

haha!! hence your bad back now bill.

Right as the mdf is so thin I am cutting a few out at a time for spares and its easier to cut if its thicker.

Well I have mocked the first one up and... i really dont like it. It is not good enough :( I think the only want to achieve the finish I want is to make the canopy in plasticard... AGGGHHHH which means cutting all those chuffin windows out my hand!!! NNNOOOOO

Canopy! Whoa! Double Rainbow....

Looks awesome.

Will you be doing plastic on top of an MDF base for the canopy?

I knew a guy who occasionally vacuforms and he used to go around this time of year collecting the kidding swimming pools people throw out in the fall. Lots of free plastic.

Hummm not to chuffed.. I have glued it together to see any errors in my plans I made. Still not happy with it :(

Just the quality of work really. MDF is fab stuff but I think the canopy will have a much better feel if its plastic .....

It looks like a good structure and starting point. Looking back at the amount of shaping and sanding you needed to do on the X-wing this looks like it needs less working to get to the final product.

That looks amazing m8 but i can see why u wanna do it in plasticard as it will be stronger and possibly easier to control the shape.

Now... I have some more pictures to share with you my friends... and I think I may well change the name of the thread to Echo Base.... and what is better than a brace of Snow Speeders??????????????
