1/6 Detention Block AA23

Hi all. On to project #3. And the winner is:

Here is the starting point.

It's 24" W x 20" x 20". If we ever get a Chewie, he'll have to be almost right to the back since he was a few feet behind them in the shootout. The toughest part of this build will be getting a photo on the back wall that projects the length of the hallway and blends with my dimensions. Oh well. We'll see what happens.

Congrats on all who are getting orange Sandy. Mines locked up

Can I make a suggestion before you go too far?

Don't have the Walls running parrallel, bring them a little closer towards the back to help with the forced perspective.

The exact angle will behard to judge until it starts taking shape, but look at Dorgmal. He had at least two false starts on the Falcon!
Even Han got itgoing quicker than him! LOL

If I may be so bold might it be easier to select a background photo and tailor your build around it rather than trying to make a background photo fit.

LOL Cheers DG. He is right about the perspective thing. It will be a pain but it could really be cool. I still play with the idea of using a mirror in the back end, I know you get the reflection of the figures but ... I think it may look cool.

Prog, I remember when I first joined and you showed me that dio... I loved it then and I love it now. Leia looks so good. Have you thought about re-shooting it with maybe Vader or Luke stormtrooper in it.... That would be cool.

You know what's funny. I laid it out in cardboard, was happy. Started the build, took a pic, and was happy. Went to bed-not so happy. Now I want to rework a couple things, and this pesky job is in the way. This will be the longest Friday ever! But I will be taking folks advice and building to the pic. The only downside is I will lose a Sideshow Chewie spot. That's OK though. It doesn't seem like we'll get him for a while anyway. Back to the grind....before "the man" sees me looking at SW stuff.

Thanks, I'll have to do that. I want to remake the cell with better materials someday too. This one was pretty much just styrofoam, wood and paint.
