Thank you very much for your advice!
As for the application of the hair, someone else told me to use PVA glue and to apply in clusters.
His modified Joker Is actually quite nice, so I'm a bit confused as to which approach is better...
very nice!
I'm wondering if you can help me out. I have the mass-produced verson of the MJ choi head-sculpt, and while the paint job is really not so bad, I'd like to remove the paint job to flesh tone and do it over.
Any idea on how to do that?
Also, I purchased brown tibetan lamb fur to dye...

Hey, man!
So, I finally got a hold of the CGL clothes, plus a DX 11 over coat, shirt, and blazer with the replica MJ Choi head.
The CGL clothes is a mixed bag.... the coat is actually nearly identical to the stock coat (with the exception of the buttons, and the way that it falls,) and so long...
No. This was a sculpting course at MassArt, and the instructor was big into the Renaissance greats. He does a lot of sculpting at full to larger scales, and knows very little about maquette making or this particular type of sculpting.
These truly are beautiful.
A couple quick questions: If I were to remove the paint job that came with a head sculpt (of joker,) will it expose the flesh tone underneath?
If so, what type of paint did you use to paint your sculpt?
I was going to order NONAMECLAY because I sculpt and I want to...
I have a dx 01 that I can sell. :)
It's not in mint condition: I modded the clothing at the shoulders to look more like shoulders on an actual coat, so there are carefully made incisions on the inside of the coat and jacket.
As any dx 01 figure, the clothing is worn (from being posed,) but...
Looking for these DX 11 accessories: hands, pants, vest, tie, and knife. Any help would be appreciated!
you can e-mail me at [email protected], or reply to this thread.
Thanks, guys.
Question: If I have the original hot toys bodies from the dx 01/police joker release, do I have the TTM slim body? Or was that something that they changed for the DX 11?
Need some advice: Met a guy offering a dx11 (clothed) with the PERS headsculpt plus the police joker with dx 01 accessories. Both items are new, and fully clothed.
He's offering it for $460. Seeing as how I already have a DX 11 coat, jacket, and a MJ choi HS, it seems like I could buy this and...
they look stellar, good sir.
Tibetan lamb fur? how does one aquire that?
I'd love to learn that process from you-- and let's be honest... you are an artist if you can make hair and make up look that good at such a small scale.
Selling any of those headsculpts?
I mean every word of it.
I hate to sound self-important, but I am a visual artist (illustrator,) and I can do in 2-D what hot toys does with models--that is to say that I pride myself in having an eye for accuracy, and your figure looks stunning: it almost looks as if it's at a larger scale...
I appreciate your input. :)
I have a dx 01, and the brighter colors of the dx 11 is what I'm going for.
One guy did say the same exact thing as you did; that the cgl overcoat is too bulky. Another guy said exactly what you said about correcting the bulkiness by cutting the sleeves off. this is...
is that what you did? did you cut the sleeves off?
I have to say, dude. your figure looks ****ing amazing... I'm good at futzing with a figure so that the clothes fall properly, so you really think that if I go with the CGL brand, that I can get the clothes to look like that ?
