Keeping in mind how this is a very small business and a limited figure. I think they did a good job. There’s a few problems they need to iron out but it looks great. I spent around $1200 on my Abby’s. But that was over a two year period. I don’t think I would be able to justify paying $1350 for this all in one go.

I was thinking about getting an updated headsculpt but ultimately decided to pass on this alltogether. I’m happy where I stand now with my customs. The biggest issue for me is the lack of accessories. Just a hammer isn’t much. My Abby’s have a ton of accessories, some made with real metal and wood. Some I made myself. Others are cheap ebay finds.

Almost finished Lev and Dina. Moving on to Henry Sam and Marlene next

I think your Abby has more character and presence to her than what we can see of Artisus'.

I've never been tempted by the very limited custom run figures. There are the horror stories of some of them dragging on and on, or never being made at all with the money lost. Then there's the concern, as with all figures, whether the production will be close enough to the prototype.

With general third party releases the cost isn't so great, and you get to make your purchase via a deposit with a trustworthy retailer such as Kit.

The value I put on figures is relative to the going rate for regular unlicensed, hence the value I see in Artisus' Abby is a $200 figure.

You're building your customs from scratch - still very expensive - but you have control over the direction and quality they take, and you're creating something unique.

Yeah I don't think "you get what you pay for" here, I don't see the value lol, can get much, much better things for $1350. I don't want to take anything away from the artists involved but seeing the overall sentiment here, they clearly need to improve on it. The "very limited run" is what gets you to fomo in. I don't think its worth it , but it might be for some.

Is the extra scowl head sculpt the only difference between Package C ($1,050) and Package D ($1,350)?

I would definitely be in on this with two figures but the cost is a complete 'no' which is a shame. Just cannot justify anywhere near that much. I just hope eventually another company will pick it up.

There's also a difference in weathering. Package C gets you the "clean" versions of the outfit and backpack. If you want the weathered versions, you have to get Package D.

Thats kinda crazy. You have to pay extra for them to smear everything with a layer of brown paint.

Well, decided to go into storage and pull this set out today. Been awhile and think it’s about time to get it back into the rotation. Going onto this thread inspired me 👍

It’s a great set. When the Limtoys one rolls around it will probably blow this one out of the water (coming 2033) but these are great until then.

I love this set too and needs to be out on display. If only I had a second house for all my toys to be displayed 🤣 Anyways I packed it up and was going to sell it once Lim announced theirs, but realized that will be awhile and better hang onto it. Now, a couple of years later it’s going back out into the display!

Your version is better. This version adds nothing to what you have already achieved.

I’m glad it’s being made for those who want it. For me it’s just not appealing for custom money. Mass release $200 yeah go on then. But this much (and yes I have paid $2500+ for a custom before) and it’s just not there.

I have the MT Ellie and the cc Ellie and Joel and I am not happy with any of the sculpts. So I have ordered the prime statues 🤦‍ yeah they are 1/4 but they look 100% game accurate.

I actually have the 1:9 Joel and Ellie and that’s actually the best available at the moment likeness wise but it’s a bit small.

For Abby i would like a representation of her but I’m not willing to pay the money I would for Ellie and Joel. I will probably print off a statue in 1:6 and have the head painted for $150-300 then paint the body myself. That will do for my collection.

Cobbled together angry Joel that I have not finished, with a mix of bits. (Yeah outfit is Pt2 face is Pt1 I know). Ignore the refresh arrow 🙄

I still wanna weather the coat a bit. And give it a brown wash. It’s too yellow and clean looking for my liking. My main complaint with this figure. I actually liked the part 2 headsculpt this figure came with a lot. It has a pretty good likeness from certain angles.

:rockI like the guitar pose. Such a great character and if you’re a father of a daughter you get Joel even more. Played through the first game like 5 times, but only once with number 2. Too freakin sad 😞

Agreed all of the CC clothes are too clean looking.

Yeah I think they get Joel better then they get Ellie.

I actually couldn’t find an angry head so had a cheap eBay recast painted for the figure above. It came out very nicely.

To clarify, it’s only one body?

I might be able to justify the price if it was 2 complete figures to display both looks.

But sounds like it is only one body so not every thing can be displayed.
