...and I also dry-brushed a slightly lighter gray sparingly over the pavement. Two easy little tweaks to better match the solicited images. Most companies seem to dial back the paint apps a tad in the production phase. The promo pieces are always painted just a wee bit better.
the change in size is simply because the final product has Batmans cape curled downwards instead of up and out like the protoype...an improvement if you ask me. When I was working on the statue the Art director wanted the cape to be opened into a clear Almost graphic batman like symbol. I always...
Here are some pictures of this Batman/Croc statue I did for DC.. The link opens up a very large photo. Just click on the image to enlarge it to 100% and scroll around to see the various views. I think it is about 14 inches tall or somewhere around there. Very fun project...
Damn!!! I was so wanting one of these and even talked myself into possibly dishing out 400.00 or MAYBE 500.00 on one but at 7-8 hundred I too will definitely pass on it. I love these things!!!
Very very very true!!! Andy is tops in this industry.
...and yes this was my last piece for SS as well as my first dig at trying to sculpt a likeness. Fun project! I love the Terminator movies.
6th graders were the main reason I wanted to slit my wrists after teaching for 13 years, lol. Good luck!
congrats though and you have my deepest condolences :)

I loved that clip. The only thing that looks odd to me is the skull on Ghostrider....looks slightly kind of eggshellish to me? Like the structure of the skull is a bit too soft and subtle?
you can always cough up 12k and I'll sculpt you up a burning rotted type horse skeleton to go along with Westrider:google
Motorcycle....mechanical stuff....nooooooooooo thank you.
"Best SS statue?"... , can't say I agree with that but thank you very much.
Thank you guys.
On the bright side Bullseye...while the sculpt I did after this one was unfortunately my last piece for Sideshow, it is however my single most favorite piece to date. Sorry guys, not a Marvel piece though.
