The original comic was pretty lame. Only a fanboy would have posted it as a strip.
I like the addition DinoLast put in, but it really deserves its own, fourth frame to make it work properly. imho.
Now this is the game I want! Colonial Marines, slugging it out with an unknown foe, in a game that's a faithful homage to one of the great sci-fi movies, Aliens.
Not those who's-the-fiercer-pussycat battles you get with AVP...
My sense is the people who are really psyched about AVP have a lot of nostalgia for the old PC or even Atari versions of the game. But if you're new to this video game franchise, the latest installment is okay at best, compared to other games out there.
Heavy Rain, on the other hand, is only...
I'm going to hold out for the Colonial Marines game. And I hope they can somehow keep ultra-faithful to the movie but update where necessary.
For example, in the AVP game I noticed the pulse rifle sounds exactly as it did in the movie ... but I wish they would re-record the sound or something...
Alright, I finally got into a few matches. I guess no one's playing this on PS3, it takes forever to get into a match.
I'm a huge Aliens and Predator fan, but I don't see what the big deal about this game is. I've played as Marine and Alien, haven't played as Predator yet, but it seems pretty...
As you start getting to higher levels, there's more motivation for people to work together. I think giving people 3x the experience points for reviving someone that killing an opponent is a great idea, and from there it just causes people to work together more closely.
The real game is...
You know what, though? MAG's approach fosters teamwork and strategy. The more I played the Beta, the more impressed I was with how the developers set things up to discourage Modern Warfare type gameplay.
You don't want to be running from spawn points? Work with your squad and make sure you...
I'm starting to like it as well. Now I'm getting better used to the controls I'm beginning to make some headway. And I like the fact there are clear cut objectives being fought for -- battles make more sense than if everyone's just running around killing each other on tiny maps where...
Meh. How does this game end? You fight all these missions but there's no final victory, and you go back home to an ungrateful public?
Or you rise through the ranks and finally some disgruntled private decides to frag your ass?
That's the thing, these levels are BIG (so why would anyone trot around with a shotgun?). But because this isn't the actual game but the Beta, and no one's gone through the "training" levels that supposedly will help everyone work together as a squad, everyone's still playing Modern Warfare...
