Thanks sj2106, I will put my order in soon and hope for the best. The Moore sculpt is very impressive, I believe it was mentioned earlier in the tread that it is a Rocco sculpt and that does not suprise me as what I have seen of Rocco's work he is one of the best and I wished most manufactures hired Rocco for their sculpts.

I have the Blitzway Ghostbusters too, but I only admired the figs from their respective windows as I left them sealed until I'm ready to display them, I was worried by all the talk about the common issues with the figures, mine look ok but I have not tested them electronically yet. What I like best about the Ghostbusters figs was the price I got them, £650 for the special pack. Let us know how you get on with Moore's hands, what is his suit like in term of quality?

I haven't tried the suit on him yet. The jacket and tie look nice but the shirt collar I suspect is too big. Might try it later.

Seriously I could be looking at the actual Roger Moore, The sculpt and paint apps are astounding. Even the really close up pic from sj2106 it looks amazing. A lot of the things you don't like, seem like pretty easy fixes so that's ok.

Thank you and I agree most are easy fixes. The most important thing for me is always the sculpt, the other things can be improved or replaced but without a good sculpt and paint app a figure will always fall flat.

I was enjoying your review of the Mulder figure earlier and it seems you feel its a good Duchovny likeness but maybe doesn't perfectly capture Mulder's personality. I feel this sculpt does for Moore's Bond.

Glad to see that others who are getting this, are enjoying it.
I will give the figure a suit later on today. I see that the tie is based on the one used in the publicity stills fir the movie.

redesigned the shenving to include this new Bond.
I did try the jacket. Although the idea of having actual button holes is a neat one, in practicality it’s near impossible to get the buttons back in!!
I gave up eventually and went back to the original island outfit.

Awesome set up you have there! I had exactly the same issue with the suit :lol took about an hour to get one button fastened but couldn't do the other. I really wasn't feeling the look at all so quickly went back to the turtleneck. The suit just feels very generic.

Thank you. The BC figures are very good, now that they have their new heads on, so to speak. The Roger Moore figure is as good as the more expensive BC set, but those do have far more detailed outfits.
I’ve just been informed that the ‘Paul’ figure is on its way. I honestly thought that the extra I was paying for, was the additional outfit for Sir Roger.
So another 007 is on its way , and it doesn’t look too bad actually.

Although I was thinking of getting the Big Chief LALD Moore figure, I placed a PO for this one instead. The quality of that head sculpt looks excellent, and I doubt the Big Chief head will be as good.

However, I'd love to get a more iconic outfit for him. Has anyone ever pieced together the Naval outfit from The Spy Who Loved Me?

I also think a cool customized Moonraker figure might be possible using the jumpsuit from the 2003 Sideshow set. Anyone have that set? Do you think the DiD head and a new TrueType body would work with that outfit?

Thanks Wor-Gar. Back in the UK, I had the Action Man 007 collection. It included the naval outfit, from YOLT. My favorite though, was the skiing outfit from TSWLM. Icing on the cake would have been the union flag parachute.
Here, I do have the Moonraker 007. I put him with the others. He’s a little shorter, but the suit is baggy, and would go onto a taller figure. The laser and wrist activated dart gun are neat.

I am hoping that now DID has done such a great job on the sculpt, we will get more figs from the other films.

Maybe wrapped up as some sort of military guy. But not as bond.

They got the lisence for Roger Moore not any of the bond films. they can make
Outfits inspired by some roger Moore bond films I guess but I would t expect to see any bond figures from DID.

I think the white dinner jacket look would be great for this sculpt, would really stand out on the shelf. Not sure it is possible to accurately kitbash that look though. Maybe Big Chief will do a version of him in that outfit.

Guys

How does this set compare to the B C Bond clothes?
We all know how that Connery suit turned out z

It looks like the Headsculpt is a clear winner
but what about the clothes ?

In aticipation on getting the Moore figure, have begun to rework the Dragon LTD British battledress jacket, adding the pleats to the chest pockets and preparing for the hot black dye job, will be fitting and tailoring the jacket as much as I can...since the battledress runs a little big. The set sold as the "Capt America Army uniform set" have a battledress version which had almost the exact cut and details as the Naval Bond one from TSWLM...just need to due black and add rank shoukder boards and medium navy blue turttleneck...but is getting difficult to find and expensive....so I am using a old Dragon one.

Clothes aren't great. Turtleneck is pretty decent but the rest very average. It's all about the headsculpt, I'm hoping to upgrade everything else eventually.

Sorry, I rarely have a reason to post this old custom. Desperately needs some tightening in the tailoring and this DiD head!

You did a superb job on the outfit...in fact...with the new Moore head and some fitting this will look spot on...no matter how long you did it...looks great and is the right cut and look....cant wait to see it with the new HS!!

Thanks! Yeah, that outfit has been waiting for a headsculpt for... 5 years or more. :lol

That Cap jacket that you are going to use should work perfect. I had my eye on that too as a replacement for the one I used, which I believe was for Patton.

Getting mine to hold dye was a problem. Over a long period, the dark color fades a bit, like faded dark jeans. If I use my old jacket above, it will need another dye bath. I might just try the Cap jacket myself if I can find one.

This all said, I'm fairly confident that BCS will do the Naval battledress for Bond when they get to TSWLM... but it could be several years away still, if at all.
