I'm really on the fence for this. I'd like the gantry, but I don't see the value in the Mark IV due to its similarity to the VI. I'd only be buying it for "completions" sake, and since I'll never have every Iron Man, things like that don't matter. Unfortunately I just recently got into the hobby and there's quite a backlog of unique and interesting Iron Man designs.

I watched Iron Man 2 again last weekend. It had been a long time since I last saw it and I was wondering if it would hold up after all the Phase 2 and 3 movies. And it totally did. Sure it's older, but I've gained a whole new level of enthusiasm for this film and I enjoyed it immensely. I also came to the conclusion that I liked the older armors better than the new ones. Infinity War was great, but that Nano suit was just too much.

Anyway I'm really thinking about getting the Mk IV. I'll wait till the Hong Kong release to see if the Tony sculpt is any good, but big chance this will be my first and probably only Die Cast Iron Man figure.

This will be my only Iron Man. I'm all in on Star Wars but can't do it for the MCU. Will just be getting a few, but this with the Gantry will be an awesome display. I definitely prefer the look of the older armors. If all those accessories came with the Mark 50 I'd consider it, but even though I'm spending over $600 on this one, the gantry will always be on display. You can only use a few of those accessories at a time.

mm im debating whether i should keep the old mark iv or get the diecast. is it almost the same with the mark vi diecast? i got the mark vi diecast.

Same as the 6 with new chest piece and a slight variation in paint

I just ordered the gantry version. I was having a hard time deciding which version but I'm afraid of sellout as we near release.

Thanks! Feared I would regret it later if I didn't.

Yea, well I have the Diecast Mark IV and Diecast Mark IV and Gantry on pre order. I only have one payment left for each. Plus I already have the original Mark IV and Mark IV and Gantry.

I'm not a big diorama or accessory guy, which is to say I generally don't use them at all -- not even stands. I pre-ordered the Mark IV but not the gantry. It looks cool but I'm thinking I'll never really use it.

I do have second thoughts from time to time, but that's a lot of money and space for something that doesn't really fit my collecting pattern...

I considered this too:lol. I'm already at a point due to space I rotate some things in and out of my designated display area. I actually kind of like it because I'm not always looking at the same thing and this way I also get to play with my toys a bit instead of setting them up and leaving them static for ages.

Definitely get the Gantry. Even if you don’t display it, it will command big money on the resale market. By selling my original MK4 and gantry, not only does that pay for the new diecast version and gantry, but I have a few hundred bucks in my pocket.

Spoken like someone in sales..

Didn't plan on getting the Gantry version but I don't have the original one.

Also, the mark VI was a homerun (for me) and I couldn't get a second one so this will fill that in for me. It's really too bad that the Mark II and III fell short (pun intended) of my expectations. I would have been all in on the original 7 in diecast assuming they make the mark I.
