People can ask whatever they want for something, doesn't mean that's what they'll get. Once they have to keep relisting the item because nobody is buying it, they'll get the hint. $400 for a R1 Vader is pretty laughable right now.

Although conversely, many people on eBay also do want something for essentially nothing. Some of the offers people make for stuff are downright laughable as well.

RO Vader was in stock at BBTS for awhile, I just saw it listed as sold out at $399, with $4 shipping it hit as $403 lol

They've released how many vaders now? I just want this one because it's the only one I don't think will sell out super fast, or at least I'm hoping, as I still need a vader in my collection. The secondary market is way too ridiculous when it comes to HT Vaders. Even considered buying the Tarkin set just for the Vader, and Tarkin would be a bonus XD

Tarkin's a SOLID figure, and a necessary part of any SW collection.

That's not my opinion, that's FACT!

agreed, he is a must for any HT star wars collectors, the wok on him is phenomenal one of the simpler but more WOW figures made top date! and as far as vader it all depends on what look you like they all have there pros and cons, the ANH version isnt 100% accurate but does a good job representing ANH however the rogue one version gives you that shiny, hefty, menacing vader look for a nice display but accurracy might bother you if your die hard, for me i do not loose too much sleep over the minute details however i do like to touch up and do some painting here and there like on SSC x wing luke i weathered his outfit since the white was so white and the orange was glowing orange, i made it used looking, but back to vader the rogue one version is a standout piece especially his cape and the overall quality but the cod piece is a bit large, other than that I like the chest box, belt , shint helmet etc.. i have my ANH displayed with Tarkin and the interogation droid, but RO vader by himself in a menacing pose

Thinking about preordering this one and selling off my ANH version for parts on eBay. I never really liked the ANH version in the movies compared to Empire and Jedi but I got it cause it was the best one out at the time.

Jedi version is my all time favorite look but this one is so close it makes me want this one now because a Jedi version will be a few years away.

yeah.I'm i the same boat. Never liked the ANH version too much but got the Rogue One because at least it had a shiny helmet and seemed the best Vader in a general way

All my Kotobukiya Vaders also look so inaccurate if you really look at the real helmets too . Koto 1:7 ANH Vader is the worst mistake I ever made and I also have a "Final Duel" RotJ one from a few years ago that also looks terrible

They could also screw up the sculpt of an eventual RotJ Vader so might as well get the ESB to be sure .Then I'll get rotJ if it's good.

Lucky for me the only 2 movie figures i'm interested in 1:6 is Alien (big Chap) and Darth Vader. I also have a Sideshow ESB Yoda from a few years back I'm really satisfied with

That was a nice yoda at the time but I knew I wasn’t satisfied with it especially after HT released theirs.

I have both. It’s so much better in my opinion. I use the SS yoda body and clothing for the backpack yoda and put the HT open eye sculpt on it.

I'm really liking the base he comes with. I still have the rotj/esb SS vader delux from a few years ago. I really like it but the helmet bugs me. Especially after the IS Vader dome putting it to shame. This dome looks better, maybe just grab the head and base... oh come to think of it may be cheaper to grab it and sell the rest. Ugh...

I wonder if they'll change the helmet on the ROTS figure. Widows peak and whatnot.

I feel like it's gonna be murphys law. If I keep my pre-order for this, they'll announce the ROTJ version which will end up coming with some full Throne Room display or some **** - and if I cancel it they won't announce the ROTJ for a longer period of time, and then it'll end up being a much crappier figure with less accessories :rotfl

I am still hoping they change the helmet on this one. At least the dome. They can get the size and shape a lot closer to the film prop. If they ever do an ROTS one, they would have to change the helmet extensively as it was the most different of the various Vader helmets.

I ordered from KG hobbies...does this mean I'll get it in June?

I would probably say no as the Vader was, from all indications, only available at the specific Star Wars event (as it pertains to the June release). All orders had to be paid in full at the time. Unless Hot Toys allowed vendors a different scenario, I doubt vendors would have paid in advance for product that had yet to solicit orders for from the public.

I think one of the reasons I didn't like my Rogue One Vader that much is that I had it displayed too high above eye level and that where the slightly inaccurate dome flare seems most noticeable. I just tilted the head forward a bit and it looks much better.

Seems I'm really trying to justify buying this new one
