The buckles are flimsy cheap garbage.

I can't recall who, but it was brilliantly described that these things break doing what they were designed to do.

:wave :lol

Actually if you want to get them to slide in and out with no problem, break off one of the latches on the male attachment. I had to do that with my Egon simply because the slit on the female attachment wasn't wide enough on one end to accommodate both latches, so I just broke one off and it holds just fine and as a result, slides out easily if you want it to.

Not that I recommend doing that because it's pretty bad in the first place I had to break part of it just to get it to attach. But only having it attached with one latch on the male end does enable you to detach the belt with ease if you wanted to.

Has anyone compiled a full list of potential problems to expect with your Ghostbusters? I always find that's good to have on hand for those who make later purchases and are forced to comb through 1,000 posts for info.

Here’s is the list I have read so far.

1. Wrong name on suits
2. Broken clips on belts
3. Broken doors on traps
4. Paint rubs on sculpts
5. Stains on suits (maybe intentional)
6. Non working packs (rare)
7. Screw/thread problems on packs
8. Wands broken
9. Red face Winston
10. Loose joints.

While I have read all these, So far I think it’s on par with most company releases , and with such a massive undertaking with so many parts, we were bound to see this. None of these appear widespread with the exception of the buckle/clip issue.

You missed one of the first ones that I mentioned - missing radio hand with Winston.

Blitzway sent me a new one directly.

This is another one as well. Same with broken walkie talkie antennas.

By far, the most pervasive is the flimsy waist belt buckle. Even if they don't already come broken, odds are high you'll break it trying to attach it.

QC issues aside I think Blitzway has established that their figures are just as good if not better than Hot Toys' current output.

Having had them a few days they certainly feel HT quality to me and the accessories I'd argue are better than recent HT efforts. The sword and lasso with Wonder Woman for example were garbage. Nothing here feels cheap.

Agreed, I'm impressed with their work overall.

The only things that seem a bit flimsy to me are the bodies and by far, the cheap plastic for the proton pack waist belt buckle. The packs themselves are awesome with the amount of detail, but I think I would have used something different for the cords that drapes a bit softer as opposed to that spring cord they used and also perhaps attached the wand to the pack via a magnet.

The jumpsuits though are top notch (wish the GB logo on the shoulder though was a patch also like the name plates) and I'd say overall the sculpts are as well. The accessories are also really nice, as are the utility belts.

I am satisfy with this set. Lucky I don't really have any major issue. I am not even going to buckle the belt from the pronto pack.

I got lucky with my sets. Only venkmans proton pack didn't light up (I will try the metal tab trick). I knew about dodgy buckles so new did nor will I attach them.

Are people generally contacting Blitzway directly for support here, are they going through their retailers?

You email Bluefin - [email protected]. There should be a Bluefin sticker on the shipper box with the info. Basically you'll need to email them detailed pictures of:
1). The damage/defects
2). UPC barcode on the figure box
3). Bluefin sticker on the shipper box
4). The invoice

You won't have to deal with Blitzway or the retailer you purchased from. Initially I followed the first set of directions by emailing Bluefin then being prompted to email the retailer. Then the newest information came from John over at Flossie's (he contacted Blufin to confirm this first) and you just deal with Bluefin. The first email I sent them only contained (by accident) half of the information I mentioned they needed. So they told me once they received the rest, they would begin the process of getting my replacement parts. That was a little over a week ago. I haven't heard anything from them yet; but I'm guessing this is going to take about 2 months or so conservatively.

Oh I just discovered that the clip on the gun was assembled upside down on Egon's pack. This is one of the pack that isn't working so I guess not so bad.

Yes these are nice looking figures. But that's far too many issues for my tastes. Have we ever had a Hot Toy with so many issues? Deadpool's cuffs was the last big widespread issue I can think of.

I can’t think of any HT figure that had this many complicated things with it however.....

Plus HT is much bigger than BW and has never released 4 figures at once....

Okay :lol that actually sounds like a good idea.

Add clumps of paint on the suits too. Mine wasn't staining, it looked like someone took a dollop of paint on a brush and smashed it on Venkman's back.

I was looking forward to getting Ray in the new year. All these problems however, starting to put a damper on it slightly

Oh I don’t think the reports should quash your day excitement. I’m sure yours will be fine. The clip seems to be the only one constant issue. Rey is probably the best one too I think. :)

I think that these are at par with any HT better than anything recent (ie Ripley, Doc, Jyne etc). If anything I am now looking forward to BW Hannibal than anything HT is offering to date!

Holy Cow....

4 hours to open and futz all the boys....

I am a bit of a perfectionist for what I want them to look like,...but damn....I had to take several breaks....

UNFORTUNATELY, I do have to report a few more issues with my set.

1. Broken handle on ghost trap.
2. 3 clips broke on insertion.

Sad stuff, but man, do they look great on display, especially together. On the good side of thing my Winston does not have that red cast to the paint....took a few quick fun shots to share!
