After watching the review this is definitely up there with the Iron Patriot in terms of fail. This bust being worse due to the extreme over-pricing. SS should be utterly embarrassed and make it very easy for people to return these for full refunds including shipping. They need to weigh bad PR vs doing the right thing. What a massive joke. Never over-promise when you under-deliver!

Like I posted before . . .

After having a closer look, I will be returning it. looks decent but not worth 850$ total for me. The complete plastic head killed it for me, it feels so cheap & light. Hope Sideshow do the right thing & offer full refund with shipping, even if it’s in store credit,,, it was either this bust or efx millennium falcon, guess I chose wrong

It's soft vinyl - and TOTALLY different to the fibreglass mix used for their 1:1 P1 or the CoolProps 1:1 P2.

It's basically (I'm being serious here) the same stuff used for Funko Pop! toys.

THIS. Yeah, I can't stress enough to you guys how cheap this feels. If you told me that Funko decided to start branching out into making statues/busts, and this was their first effort and was at a $250 price point, I'd totally believe you....because that's EXACTLY how this comes across. And look, I'm not one of those polystone/resin or die guys. If it's well done, and they used different plastic durometers because that made the most sense for fragile pieces or mold complexities, I'd totally get it. But that's not the case here. And while it doesn't mean anything on the shelf, the whole head/dreads weights next to nothing...and it's harder to mentally justify paying $650 for air, verses a heavy polystone. Perception is reality...and it just adds to the feeling of being ripped off.

And this isn't even addressing the QC issues. Do we all have to worry about the paint coming off of the dreads over time? I mean...mine has already started. I don't want a HT Mars Attacks situation here where it turns to s*&t in a few years.

I'm going to really inspect mine this weekend. I looked at it a bit yesterday but felt like I was in a fog of disbelief about the entire piece so I wasn't really paying attention to anything besides the obvious negatives. I don't remember what any of my dreads look like, but I'd be surprised if some weren't damaged since getting the head to fit into the base took some twisting and wiggling. People would have complained about the plastic and seam even if this had been $350 so I don't know how Sideshow can expect anyone to be happy with this at $650.

Mine is here, I just opened it up a few minutes ago. I'm not going to talk about it much today as I like to try my best to be polite and constructive on the forum, and given what I've just received, I really don't think that is possible today. I'll compose my thoughts a little and actually work up the will to look at it properly tomorrow... erggh.

I'll just say this and sum up my feelings, I've never been so relieved to receive a faulty item before. At least now I'll probably only lose the 20% tax rather than the return shipping also. The head doesn't even connect to the body, it just sits on top rocking, has anybody else had this? This isn't accounting for the various blemishes I've already seen in the couple of minutes I spent with it... Or the number 16 engraved on the front of the very front dreadlock in full view. I basically have two cheap pieces of plastic that don't fit together and have an RRP of $650 (almost $1000 total) While I'm obviously disappointed beyond belief, I think my main emotion is embarrassment. I'm embarrassed on behalf of Sideshow whether they want it or not. I genuinely feel sorry for all of the artists and designers that have their name attached to this thing given what customers have received for a HUGE amount of money. It's just sad... So very sad!

I agree Python. And my head also does not fit no matter how hard I try. It's more of a bobble head than anything else.

You can see my issues and bobble-head here-

Thanks, not just me then. I'll watch your video now. And that is just the big issue, I'm shocked at how cheap this thing feels. Who decided it would be a good idea to ship this? If I hadn't bought it directly from sideshow, I would be 100% sure it was a knock off... Even sadder is that if you stand back a few meters, it actually looks nice... I want this bust in my collection, but not like this. No way! If this were on display in a store, I'd maybe have paid $200 for it max..

It really does kind of remind me of those cheap hollow plastic piggy bank busts that you see at Toys R Us and other stores:

Obviously as far as cheap hollow piggy banks go the Predator bust looks pretty good but where it gets outrageous is the $650 price and the presumption that it's a high end/high quality collectible.

The man doth truth speak. At least you can send yours back and hopefully claim the tax back separately.

RE: "the number 16 engraved on the front of the very front dreadlock in full view." - wait . . . wut????

I imagine that they numbered the dreads in the factory to know their placement for assembly.
