Is that what it is?

I don't want to nitpick because it is always about how you see it, but the likeness would be stronger if the mouth was a bit wider/larger.
Did you try the old turn the page around and look at the reverse image with a bright light trick? It might help you to see it more clearly.

But it's still a great render!

Nitpicking is what we do here, with sculpts and likenesses. Worry not!

And when someone else points out what's wrong, that helps. The mirror image trick is great, too. I usually take a photo and invert it.

And I'm sorta hijacking the thread anyway so you're too kind. [emoji28]

Well, you have so much talent, thats obvious, but yeah, somethings off, and maybe as others suggested, its the mouth. People can call it bashing, being nit-picky, etc... but the nice thing about being around hyper attentive collectors, they can definitely pick up on subtleties to help you improve.

i take it you do this as a living? Cause that doesn't look like a Friday afternoon doodle.

Thanks!

Its my hobby, to draw. I don't make a living out of it. I don't really have formal training except for the art instruction books I've amassed, and an undying love of female beauty. [emoji28]

Great work man, I rarely painted/drew women in fear I'd make them look manly or fear a random female would tell me "you suck at female anatomy" hahaha

Fear is the path of the Dark side, my friend. Just start doing it. For fun!

It will look stiff and you won't like it, but oftentimes whan we artists are unhappy with, regular people are wowed by.

The artist will never be content with the results. I can assure you the sculptor and painters for HT always see the "defects". They always tell themselves "you coukd have done it better than this".

That's how we get better and better, and sometimes a sculpt will appear to be a step back. And the next time they nail it. But the artist never says "this is perfect!" [emoji23]

So I reached out to Sideshow yesterday. The Jyn that everyone is getting the two week notices on is the deluxe ONLY. I have the standard on order, because I would likely never pose her with the hat and poncho, so I asked them, and they told me that while they are still expecting the standard Jyn to get in to them in October, they haven't received an estimated date from HT yet.

Seems weird to me, I don't know why they would ship they out separately. And if SSC hasn't gotten an estimated date in from HT yet, I wonder if the standard Jyn won't be in until November.

So true, my last drawing was Alyx Vance from Half-Life 2, I was pretty happy with it, hopefully I can finish it someday.
My Deviant Art is JonD7, if your curious, lol.

You definitely have talent:hi5:
I love seeing traditional pencil drawings as that what I’ve always loved to do as well. You should start a thread and post some of your other work.
