Kylo in TFA was one of the few great designs of the movie even though it was clearly inspired by Darth Revan.

Kylo in TLJ is one of the worst designs.

I know they have to change things to sell more toys and give the actor more face time but this is just terrible and a real shame.

I'm really not feeling this costume design at all. Maybe once I see it in action in the movie I'll have a much better appreciation for it but right now it seems that the Episode VII Kylo is the definitive version for me.

I was about to say the same exact thing.

kneeling with the lightsaber like its a physical sword...interesting

Yeah, shouldn't it be peacefully disappearing into the floor like bad comedy? Mind you, we saw in the previous film that he likes to break the place he lives in, so going about sticking holes in the floor is probably par for the course.

Also, those red guys, ahahahaha. I'm amazed the art director signed that one off.. not the finest piece of character design in the SW films. But, it carries on the "looking a bit like something Ashley Wood did" thing from K2SO/Popbot. There's a bit of the Tomorrow Kings armour in those arm designs.

Mainly tho, they put me in mind a bit of the Masters Of Death from Big Trouble In Little China
(Edit: should add I know they're not called that, but can never remember their name and they're ripped from the MoD in Shogun Assassin, so.)

When I think "Kylo Ren" I think TFA costume. It's one of my favorite costume designs in the series, but regardless - I agree that will be my definitive "Kylo Ren".

However, I see the Ep8 and (likely) Ep9 designs are going to be more Ben Solo, less Kylo Ren. If that makes sense?

I like this figure, just not as much as the epVII one. I'll probably decide on picking it up or not after the movie, but I definitely want to grab the head sculpt and that stand - and posssiblyyyy the helmet depending on if it's a better sculpt than the TFA one. Though, I think the TLJ helmet has a longer back design-wise than TFA.

Kylo is one of my favorite characters though, so I'll probably end up buying this at some point... lol This figure actually makes me think of Star Wars Captain Harlock.

I concur, I have no idea what the art designers are doing here. And he looks like a young angstier version of Snape to boot. Or as someone said he looks like he stepped out of Game of thrones

Actually I think all the design, ships, characters etc has been weak that we've seen of the sequel trilogy so far. The only designs I liked so far were kylos masked look in tfa which has strong shades of revan, and I believe was a discarded concept for Vader, making it an older design anyway? And I like Rey's TFA look as well which had strong shades of Bastilla from Kotor as well.

These new imperial guards... They look like dildo headed lobsters... I have no idea what they're doing here..

Kylo's mask was not a concept for Vader - that's a rumor. It was a completely new concept from the artists.

I like the Praetorian Guards myself. I'm under the impression they're either droids or controlled by Snoke, similar to the Death Troopers in Rogue One.

Couldn't agree more. Don't forget those terrible Resistence outfits. The only good designs in the ST were

Kylo Ren (TFA)
Han looked good
BB8
Asty
Starkiller Base (kinda)
Luggabeast

Waiting for bbts to list it. Definitely love it, but I'm thinking about getting the force awakens version during spook if they do a good deal

"$23.50 Non-Refundable
Down Payment Required "

FUUUUUUU

If they start adding this, there's really no reason to order from them.

The entire perk of ordering HTs from BBTS is that you could cancel without losing money.

Now it's basically the same as Sideshow, except Sideshow you gain points and whatnot...

Whoever made this decision at BBTS is a dumb dumb.

Weird, it's almost like there's some correlation between a bunch of finicky collectors repeatedly canceling pre-orders right before shipping , and the introduction of an NRD...

Well that sucks about an NRD at BBTS now too. The odd thing to me is that they seem to sell through their stock faster than Sideshow presumably because they order less. That was a major reason to order from them but if they're going to start that I don't know if I'll keep using them as often. They still have the perk of lower shipping but Sideshow had rewards points so it balances out somewhat.

:rotfl

BBTS doesn't want a repeat of TFA, that's for certain.
I think all the retailers got stuck on that deal but I get the feeling it's more a result of Hot Toys overproducing than anything.

Weird about the NRD. I don't plan on picking this up, but I'll eat my shoe if this is actually hard to get when it comes out. I wouldn't worry.

Yep. They will lose business that's for sure.

But maybe they don't want to get burned on stock from a movie that isn't even out yet. If the movie sucks, everyone will cancel.

I would never pay an NRD unless its absolutely something that I know I will want even a year from now.
