Cost is $2550 and doesn't look to have any switch out options.

This display is tempting

I'd love to have 2 Stormtroopers & Vader in this scale. I think the display would be the greatest. But then I'd also like a new car.

Neither did this one...

All I see is a baby elephant's trunk.

LOL.
Can't believe a master artist as Steve Wang sculpted this Vader...he really should stick to his monsters.

Regarding the Lsf I have to agree with Gruson...Vader looks too thin imho...this is the feeling I get when looking at his raised arm & torso.

I am a little shocked that for the price SSC did NOT get certain things right. Little piddly crap like there should be NO lights in the ANH/Rogue 1 chest box.:gah:
Proportions, pose, clothing are interpretative things, but the lights could have easily been left out.

I never really understood the massive hate for the CM. Looks way better than the LSF to me. How can you have Vader without a light saber and charge that kind of money for it? Almost....and I mean almost a bigger rip off than life size Yoda.

Life size Yoda is really overpriced. He should have been 2k at the most. At 2550 Vader should have a lightsaber option, it would make it more worthy of the price imo.

They had LSF Vader flanked by the Stormtroopers at Celebration and they really didn't blow me away. Reminded me of those giant JAKKS figures that are like 3 feet tall that you see at Target and Toys R Us. I thought that the various PF's looked much more high end.

If this statue was even remotely screen accurate with a better pose it would be 100x more impressive. I love 1:2 scale statues and I would have added this Vader to my collection if it had been a show stopper, but fortunately I just saved $2550 by not having to purchase this. A large chunk of that money will go towards my 1:2 Prime 1 Batman that's coming next month. :yess:

What a boring statue.. it looks good I guess, but very uninspired and w/o any sort of options. I think even a basic standing pose, or arms on his belt/behind his back would have been better.

Zero interest in this piece. And I think I've figured out the pricing when it comes to scales... every time you go up from 1/4, to 1/2 to 1/1 you need to quadruple the cost. So $500 for a PF, $2k for a LSF and $8K for a lifesize.

YES! I pointed that math out years ago and just dont get it and wont buy it .. just to rich for my blood

that SS Yoda is an embarrassment. it looks like crap. overpriced it would be at $800 let alone $2K+. i cant believe people bought that. it so soft, lacking detail. looks like a mountain of green pudding with coal eyes and a burlap sack on it.

this vader one is odd. I'm not sure anyone wants something of this caliber without a lit saber. the pose is good enough, but for $2600 good enough isn't good enough.

Yeah you're right, I was being generous about yoda. I think a fair price for him would have been 1200-1500 honestly.

I love Vader and seeing as how I'll never be able to fork over the huge amount of $ for a life size this one is something I wound definitely consider. I could go a costume on mannequin route but I just want a standing statue honestly.

I love in SideShows description for this piece they wrote that its rich with screen accurate details from his appearance in ANH. Uh no it's not. It's like they thought, hey I like neopolitan ice cream, let's make a neopolitan Vader. It blows my mind that the ESB is considered by many to be the best film in the franchise and yet we still have not been given a proper Vader from that movie. Yes the IS is great and I ordered it on day one but in regards to this scale or even PF there has been nothing. So for those of you who are going to SDCC, please speak to these morons at their booth and enlighten them on this matter.
