The $20 coupons they stick on the box only serve to cover the shipping SS charges nowadays, if you're lucky.

Shipping to Europe +- $50. For us, overseas guys, codes are useless since ... ever i guess :(

Here we go again, $18 shipping and you're moaning :lol

Shipping overseas probably actually costs Sideshow that much unfortunately. Over here in the States it probably costs Sideshow $6 or less to ship a hot toys shipper and they are charging almost $25. So yeah it is a valid complaint and worth ******!ng about. I can't get anything shipped to me cheaply from Europe either, but you won't find me ******!ing about that.

It's all Trump's fault ! He needs to set up free trade agreement with Europe so we can get our Hot Toys cheaper and vice versa !!

LOL! Outta control Hoody. It's his fault Mars lost its atmosphere, it's his fault my cousins' dog got sick...[emoji23]

When's the last time you shipped a figure? 1950? :rotfl

We have had this exchange before, but I'll explain again. Businesses that ship the kind of volume sideshow does get VERY favorable rates in the continental US. I know this because of the business I am in. Can you or I get those rates personally? Nope! But Sideshow sure as hell does.

is there any where to check what is currently code eligible other than just checking the code itself which disables it for other users?

sideshow.com/promocode

Enter in the code to see what is eligible

Yeah, I had a buddy who was doing very high volumes with the best rates from FedEx and then UPS in the first half of the 2000's. I don't know what business you're in, but I'm confident that friend had much better rates than you've ever seen before. His sales volume and profit were so high that he wouldn't have batted an eyelash at paying Sideshow's $18 or $100 when buying a figure, nor bother commenting on a forum about it - it was meaningless to him when shopping elsewhere. :rotfl

So yeah, the rates were (and like still are) unbelievable compared to counter (retail) prices. But there's no obligation for a vendor to pass those savings onto the consumer. I'll say it again, it doesn't matter how much Sideshow's costs are.

Shop elsewhere. It's not good business for Sideshow to decimate the sales potential of their retailers by under-cutting them.

As an aside, my buddy got into his business because he didn't like the prices a certain importer/distributor gave him after repeated large purchases. So he said screw it and jumped directly into overseas trading with both feet and just took all that distributor's business away within a few months. By the end of about 1.5 years his own business was already many times the size of that large distributor he initially dealt with. So if someone doesn't like the situation, there's always an opportunity to show someone else how to do it better. :)

You mocked my initial post and then as per usual shifted the focal point of discussion when the facts did not support your initial post.

But another aside: To lots of folks it DOES in fact matter if sideshow charges 4X their cost to ship. But I doubt anyone here is peeved enough to go after the distribution rights from hot toys as your post seems to suggest[emoji38]

New discussions bother you.

My initial point stands and needs to additional information to back it up. You honestly must think it's 1950. All that matters to a consumer is a consumer price. Anyone is free to check shipping charges with carriers any day of the week. On top of that I already made a point that anyone in business should understand, which is that as a distributor, Sideshow shouldn't be eating its retailers' lunch. I'll add another. Every business should seek to maximize profit.

I know I know. Logic don't stop the crying. I do suggest soft tissues however, because some people in forums don't want to hear about the tears. :rotfl

You're going to have a really bad day when you find out how much Sideshow pays for figures.

If anyone has an extra code, I would very much appreciate it. This lack of monthly codes has me feeling like a junkie looking for my next fix.

Yeah I know the markup is extraordinary.

Which is why screwing folks on shipping to boot is fairly insulting. Don't worry about me sobbing though, I haven't recently staged a hostile takeover of another business like your pal but I make enough cash to soak away the tears.

I have an extra code:

Take $25 OFF your next order of an eligible item at sideshow.com!
Offer ends May 6, 2017 at 1:01pm PT
Use promo code:
CONTEST-2350-QRN59KWK

It looks like they've added some new options to the $25 off promo codes (at least with the contest entry ones)

Dark Phoenix PF
Captain Marvel PF
Joker Batman Imposter Suicide Squad 1/6
Joker Arkham Asylum Suicide Squad 1/6

I'm sure there are more - these are just the ones that stood out to me

I've got a $20 code I'm not going to use. First PM gets it.

Edit: code gone to Narcosis.
