Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

you mean Ahra? :D

how you're gonna handle that? the only solution I see is to melt that head in acid.. :rotfl
beside jokes congratulation for the expression pack, looks awesome! :D
Yes ahra ;)

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

From all the reviews of the expression pack, everything looks good except for the Bruce Wayne head. I can even get over how the scuplt and paint looks, but it's the way the head sits so high on the neck that bothers me. The placement looks terrible and the head looks small. That is a major disappointment. At least I'm only paying $32 for the pack on a deal I found on ebay.

That's one of the reasons that made me back down on getting the pack.
I can fix its paint apps issues easily, but it would be pointless because the head won't sit on the neck anyway, LMAAAAAAAAAAAO
And even if it did sit, it is too small for the body. I'm screaming LMAAAAAAAAAAAAAO :rotfl

Also, even if the head was perfect, sit perfectly etc, the look would still be off, as it misses the mask hanging from the back of the neck.

If I ever get this pack, I will probably throw this head in the trash. :dunno

Look at this head, more similar to Bruce from TNBA...

Beautiful figure from Kenner. Their Nightwing figure is also great, even better than DCC's. The same v thing v for the vintsge Creeper figure.

my acid idea was better :D
anyway the head can look good. you just have to put the gas mask and the visor. and possibly a hat too :)

I don't think this head is too small, It's a matter of adjusting it to sit better on the neck. Imo the chin shape is better than Batman's head sculpt.

:exactly: I will say the neck pole that is connected to the ball joint of the neck is a little too high, I understand they did this so the cape can swap out easily as well as the other heads but I think it would still be achievable if they designed the pole an inch or two shorter :lecture

Anyway here we are

My WIP..

I didn't like the lip color, even though it was just a simplistic line, I wasn't into the orange tint so I darkened it and made it a tad thinner

I plan on thinning the brows next and adding more shade around the nose.

Like I said it's a WIP

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Looks great guyver1, but that Bruce head won't look right unless you shave down the neck. He looks like he's got a super giraffe neck going on there lol

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

See? Even if you are able to completely push the head down on the ball pin, it will still look wonky, as the neck is too thick and long for the head. Especially thick.

That repaint is awesome and favors the headsculpt a lot.
I think it's a good sculpt after all, and only needs a better repaint.
Too bad it doesn't work on the body.

Actually it's the same as the neck on the regular first release bats. I compared. The issue is the pole that ball is on is too long which prevents the head from sitting properly. Solution is to shorten the pole. Here's the problem, If you try to do that, it will be hard to have the pole rest on the hole of the neck piece because the hard material made for the body.

So the only feasible alternative is too sculpt a brand new pole from scratch with the proper height and glue it down to the neck hole ( It's not worth the trouble and extra work IMO for just this one batman body ( If somebody has a spare body I would say they can experiment)

Zelu1984 the pleasure is all yours to do this :lol

I don't want to bother with it since I like swapping the heads back and forth.

Photoshopped Wayne again :D Original sculpt is so wrong.. No idea on how you guys are handle that crap. Eyes are in a total wrong angle and they're sculpted... @_@

That's a great photoshop! My problem with the Bruce Wayne sculpt is more the expression they went with. Whenever I picture BTAS Bruce, I always picture him smirking. I wish they'd gone with a smirking expression instead.
