You'd think it would've View attachment 317890 their reputation by now.

It's just a bit annoying when you've been waiting years for a figure from one of your favorite movies, only for a SS Harley wearing an outfit she wore for a minute at most to be made instead. I don't see how it's unreasonable to wonder where a specific figure is at all.

its not unreasonable, I just don't think HT is reading this thread at all, much less with minds open enough to drop what they're doing and get going on that Staffordshire China version of the TR-8er Stormtrooper like you want 'em to. [Hypothetical you that is, not you personally.]

We more than get the idea some hate this figure with the intensity of a thousand firey suns; I just don't think it makes a diff. The figure is now up for PO. People who think their one opinion is gonna shake HT's foundations need to get on over to FB - A forum they actually do read - and flame the hell out of 'em over there.

Problem is , they bought the license and now have to pay for it. Churning out figures from this film is the only way to re coup their investment.

Not exactly. They didn't churn out figures for The Lone Ranger, now did they? Or Tron. Or several of the X-Men films.

Harley is no Iron Man .........

With the right figures, she could come close. I really expect to see this concept come closer to fruition with Gotham Sirens.

I honestly seeing nothing wrong with this figure. People will buy it and be happy with it. It's not what i want but if i got what i want the world would be a very different place. We have no idea how it is selling or how many HT expects to sell. This is the 1st HQ in a live action movie so i'm sure HQ fans are loving this and anything else HT puts out right now.

It WOULD be cool to make a detolf cube into her cell, or at least a cell of some sort. Either way, I'm a bit surprised to see this one as a wide release, I'd have expected this to be a convention exclusive.

I just saw a new video over at secret base where the nails have been painted. (Toyswire, Instagram)

It looks a lot better in the video's as well. The only way I'm buying this is if they make a Swat Joker but I'm not pre-ordering. That's for sure.

I'm reading some ridiculous comments in this thread...

If/when HT pump out another Iron Man figure - do you question why they do it? No of course you don't... so why are you doing it for Harley Quinn or the Joker? The reasoning, for Hot Toys, is the same – Joker and Harley - Like Iron Man has become, are incredibly popular characters and as such sell huge amounts of figures... I'd hazard a guess that along with Iron Man - Batman, Joker and Harley sell the most figures for Hot Toys. I wouldn't be the slightest be surprised if we don't see at least one more variation of her from Suicide Squad and a figure from the Arkham games too.

Actually yes, plenty of freaks wonder why they need to release about 1000 Iron Man figures a year. Joker is popular of course but not this particular version, at best his reception has been lukewarm. I don't think anyone was banging at their door demanding at least 5 variants for his 20 minutes of screen time. The Arkham Joker was a different story and long overdue, another Ledger or Nicholson would likely have sold out in pre-order by now.

I jumped straight on the first Harley Quinn figure they announced, can't wait till that's released. It sold out in most places a long time ago so I fully appreciate the demand for another version. It's just odd they chose something that seemingly no one asked over the club version or Dr. Quinzel for example. Those might be still to come I guess.

I still think Catwoman at least matches her popularity, the classic version not the one seen in TDKR that is. A Returns Catwoman would be easy money for them so you'd assume they'll do it...eventually. The Sirens Catwoman will no doubt prove hugely popular if they do it right, I'm looking forward to that and Poison Ivy to.

Anyway, there is no rage or hate, just mild disappointment and confusion at some of HT decision making. Who knows, maybe this figure will improve between now and release as much as the BVS regular Batman did.

Not good...

The head is not too bad I like it better than the open mouth one, I'm sure there will be lot of them on Ebay I'll look around and pick one up.

This is the Caged Heat version, lol. But y'know, they really could have done a backdrop that looked like the back of the cell/cage she was in from that scene in the movie

Agreed. In addition, I'm not really a huge fan of these single panel backdrops... I suppose that they're a good option for collectors with limited display space, so I respect that. I just prefer the multi-panel wraparounds like the one included with the Arkham Asylum Leto Joker...

I still can't believe they made it so the backdrops don't fit in a Detolf. :slap They need to correct this soon.
