Just got an email from sideshow saying that they will begin processing orders on Tuesday October 18. Shipping to Texas is $115.60. That stings a bit, but it's not unexpected and it's actually a bit lower than I feared it might be.

I think that's the thing - the price of the item was VERY cheap considering.

Also - I'm going to take back my "it's Sideshow's fault" statement . . . . . . it SO is not.

I just phoned and spoke to a lovely lass (Agali) on the Sideshow helpdesk who said they have no choice - it is because of FedEx's rules when dealing with an item this size - it HAS to go "freight".

She also (very kindly) gave me the option of cancelling and they would (even though they don't have to) refund the deposit.

So - credit where credits due - this isn't Sideshow's fault and they have handled this as well as was possible.

I guess so, why they only ship fed ex is beyond me as they seem to be the worst at least in my area.
