I'm not sure there's anything they could do about that. I believe the fabric naturally slides up the arm a bit when you pose the arms in that position, exposing the joint of the wrist.

I'm arming this guy with a custom 1/6 ROTJ Luke lightsaber I found on Ebay that lights up and everything. Just ordered it.

They have the ones Joe mentioned but they also have the $20 ones that work on pre-orders, they stick them on the boxes of orders. They're designed with that same one-time use format so you have to kinda claim one from another member who isn't using theirs on the spook/code thread. I got one with Rey/BB-8 that I'm thinking of using on Yoda or TFA Han. Kinda waiting to see production pics as I know those are both supposed to be somewhat imminent.

Thank you, TonTon! I used my $20 coupon code that I got with my Captain America Civil War figure!

I think $225 is the new normal. With HT packing some figures with a lot of accessories when possible and/or when it makes sense for the character, and others with not much at all by that same measure (possible/makes sense) and thinking it'll all even out in the end.

Of course, there will never be a ceiling on the price of these figures until we refuse to buy...

Really torn on this one. He's definitely cool looking, but I'd want the Resistance Rey to go with it. That said, dollars to doughnuts, we are getting an EPVIII version of both, maybe even with some action accessories. Wait or buy? So friggin hard not to succumb to the Force....of buying new figures!

I'm a sucker for Luke so I'll definitely be buying this.

Is this the first ever hot toys figure that has a sound function containing all of an actor's lines from the movie?

Yeah it's a shame. I would have loved to have gotten this if they captured just how awesome he really looked in that final scene, even with his very limited screen time (and the lack of accessories). But the final figure just isn't grabbing me in the same kind of way at all.

Yep. It's my favourite scene in the movie, and one of my favourite scenes in SW full stop, but this figure is far from capturing the magic.

Face isn't wide enough.
Nose isn't crooked enough.
Beard wrong shape and colour off in places.
Not wrinkly enough.
Eyes wrong position.
Hair too thin.

Pass. Until Jnix does a sculpt that is.

The sculpt is an 8/10 for me.

For a $200 complete figure, I'm more than happy.

I had this figure a while ago but sold it. It came with his light side and dark side outfits. I think I'll pass.

For me this figure is not about recreating the scene at the end if TFA (necessitating a Rey too) or if there will be a newer, different Luke for EVIII or that Luke didn't do anything in TFA. It is an emotional response from me as someone who sat in the theater as a 6 year old in 1977 and met Luke Skywalker. This figure represents the last 40 years and the mystery and hope of what the character was doing as I was growing up. Seeing him older, as I have aged too. This is why that scene was so powerful to me and why I love this figure. I know this is very odd way of thinking for some people who say "head sculpt isn't perfect" or "no lightsaber" but many of us collect because it taps into something larger than just the object itself. So hell yes I will be preordering.

Totally agree with you on that, but Hot Toys has a way of releasing updated and better versions of many characters (Iron Man or Black Widow anyone?), so as much has I loved that scene and was desperatly wanting to have this Luke (over $300 for me - conversion to Canadian $, + $30 shipping + $40 duty import) this had to be perfect. I can't afford figures that I'm not totally in love with. The Snowspeeder Luke is more a priority for me now (even if its Sideshow - it looks awesome - and yes, I loved their Hoth Han and Luke).
