Tuskador is the 30$ fans choice item! :rock

This was the figure that ment all or nothing for me. With Tuskador comming I will keep my collection and gladly add everything 2016 + Thundercats (except for S ake Mountain). Couldnt be happier with this years panel.

Don't forget the Megabloks Castle Grayskull set with battle cat and he-man....Insane money shelling out next year

Yea man. You got that right. I'm SO happy motu is finally getting some decent licensing support. I hope it's not so late in the motuc line that it doesn't last. Or that one of the other lines takes off. Mega blocks, mondo, ssc all could be hits. Fingers crossed!

I'm really over the moon with everything. Great choices. Like that they split the Filmation/Collector's Choice subs. Snake Mountain looks kind of intimidatingly awesome. And Tuskador was one of my most-wanted NA figures.

Ain't that the truth. Whenever I compare a MOTUC figure against a Figma, the MOTUC figure generally loses. Just look at Figma Saber 2.0! I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking.

I like my Japanese import figures, the paint is usually spectacular. But the scale is usually much smaller than MOTUC, and the articulation is often janky and not very fun. Also, you pay for it. Import figures are not cheap. Plus, character selection is usually not great. You're lucky to get the main heroes and villains.

All the reveals are pretty awesome!!

BTW, Snake Mountain most likely will be scaled down and will require preorder drive to make it happen...

The Thundercats figures make me sooooooooo happy to finally have figures from the classic series that I actually want! I think the proportions work really good with the two figures shown so far. If Lion-o turns out looking that good in the production run I'll be super happy to support this line.

OMG~!

I just realised this means there may be a 80's style Thundercats Slithe sculpted by the 4HM. That's like a dream come true. Loving the Thundercats.

I collect figuarts, yeah some of them are pricier than motuc but the quality is unparalleled. Tamashii Nations makes the best figures in the world.

Right? Same here. My favorite show as a kid. So syked that they fit in line with motuc!

Okay, the Mega Bloks? Yuck. If they're just gauging interest, I'm having a hard time seeing this idea take off. Not that Grayskull isn't neat from a construction perspective, but it doesn't really scream 'playability' to me. :slap

What do you guys think of these filmation figures? I guess they're based on the simplistic animation of the series but I'm not feeling the looks of them at all. Kinda look like cheap chinese knockoffs of motuc.

That Skeletor head is sick tho...

Yes, Figmas, Revoltechs, and SH Figuarts tend to be smaller than a MOTUC figure. The only exception I've seen to this is SH Figuarts Broly, who's even bigger than MOTUC Ram Man. Still, I've never had a problem with them being smaller. I don't really get the "bigger than = better than" mindset that seems to permeate this hobby. As far as articulation goes, Figma and SH Figuarts figures tend to do whatever I want without any issues. I've had some aggravations with Revoltech figures though. I'll give you that they are more expensive and the character selection is typically slim for a given series. Still, the average Figma will come with several different expressions, a highly posable body, some accessories, a rack of hands to hold all their accessories and give you more display options, a support stand to help with dynamic posing, and collector friendly packaging. Not only that, what you see for the prototype is what you'll end up with in hand. Max Factory has never cut corners on a production piece and then whined about rising plastic and labor costs in a pathetic attempt to justify shortchanging fans like Mattel has done.

I totally agree with you. I don't know why anyone is fond of the Filmation design. Why would anyone want a figure with less detail in both paint and sculpt that costs over $20? Nostalgia?

I feel the same. I will however buy a Skeletor just for the head.

Dont think too much guys. It is a toyline with almost 200 different figures. Not every figure can appeal to everyone, but it is the immense variety MOTUC provided over the years that kept collectors interested and brought us so far. Personally I am not in love with every single figure either, but in a complete collection even those stupid POP girls look great. As long as it is MOTU Classic, I will sub. :)

Only passing on Snake Mountain. I dont see this being realized in that scale. Already left out CG because of its small size. My lower shelf will be owned by PCS instead of CG and SM. :)

Point Dread however is a nobrainer. :yess:

There are plenty of people looking forward to Filmation figures, myself included. I've been waiting for them since Classics was announced back in 2008. So far, I think they look awesome. I hope they maintain the super bright colors although the protos always have brighter paint compared to the final product.

Yeah wtf Mattel. Different ways of running a line I guess. Volume over quality.

I just saw the cartoon-accurate figures. Awesome. That Skeletor speaks to me in a way the original one never did. I sold all the MOTU Classics figures I had, but cartoon styled versions are a way to suck me back in. Damn.
