Can't imagine it's that far off. Luke or the double-set is pretty likely to be MMS 300, so doubt we'll be waiting ~2 months considering we're at MMS 296 already. I'd think this week or next, like Glennfett.

I'm also thinking SDCC for Luke and Leia since they only just officially announced the Sandie last week.

Here's the thing, though. They've been announcing the ANH figures at a pretty rapid rate ahead of Ep VII, and now you guys think they're going to hit the breaks for 2+ months and save Luke/Leia for SDCC? No way. SDCC is going to be all about Ep VII, IMO. Doesn't make any sense to me to save a bunch of fireworks for an almost 40 year old movie when we're on the cusp of a new trilogy. Time will tell, I guess!

Pretty sure all Ep7 toy-related merch is on embargo until September, the same time Hasbro and Disney will unleash all their wares. Though I haven't read definitively if that also includes previews.

They were announcing them like gangbusters, but that slowed down. Obi Wan took a while before we got the official announcement, and it was about a month later for the Space Trooper and a month after that for the Sandie. So we're talking at least June 15 for the next SW announcement. And then the following month is SDCC! It really isn't that far away!

Even for prototypes of stuff we've already seen from the trailer? Regardless, if that's the case then they'll show ESB or ROTJ stuff. No way they're dragging out ANH for another 2 months.

I reckon that Leia will have two headsculpts and dresses. Bun hairdo and ceremonial hairstyle . Ceremonial gown and the gown she is seen in for most of the movie.

That wouldn't be in keeping with the bare-bones nature of every other HT MMS SW release though...

Yeah, it'll just be Leia with the two kinds of blaster. Amazing that a head, body, very basic white dress and two pistols will run you $200+.

I doubt that will happen. Ada Wong was faithful to the character. I doubt they'd give less attention to Star Wars than they would to Resident Evil.

Except don't base any part of the figure on promo images, right? Because these promo shots often use costumes and props that weren't in the movie, could have been shot months or years after the movie footage, aren't consistent in make-up nor hair styles/lengths, etc.

$300 for a two-pack, do it HT.

I never base any figures off any particular photos. As long as it's pretty much what I remember seeing, I'm more than satisfied. I have better things to do than getting upset that Hot Toys didn't paint one of Vader's tusks black or something

It's like that similar promo shot of Ford with his short Dr Jones hair, & sporting the ANH Han get up.

Plain bad examples of what we saw on film, & shame on LFL for that matter.

That image just posted of Luke looks like it may have been shot after his accident and a long time after principal photography - his face looks a lot more weathered and older than it does in ANH as he lacks that "kid" quality. The lightsaber hilt also looks really small.

Definitely, his face is obviously not the same.

It must've been around the same time as when Ford was doing ROTLA - so yeah, post car accident for sure.
