Re: STEALTH IRON MAN PICS

Someone just posted this at statue forum.

I just talked with Inthia at SSC, and she said that almost NONE of the "paint scratched" ones will NOT be replaced, only severely damaged ones, ie Broken Arms , etc. But they dont have enough extra ones to ship out to replace, so we will have to get some paint(you can contact the returns dept and they will tell you the color , and exact shade of the paint used) and repair this one yourself.

When I first read that quote, the double negative made me think it was a good thing. But it sounds like there are going to be some angry fans out there.

...haven't opened mine yet...but they (ss) should just give us the paint to touch up...wtf

Re: STEALTH IRON MAN PICS

I'm still not sure what that quote says.

I'm sure people have some valid complaints on this piece. I'm just saying that there's no excuse for name calling.

EVERYBODY CHILL! LOL.

That's a crock guys, or a misinterpretation....

I just spoke with (name withheld) at Returns as she is handling my damaged item. She said unequivocally that that items with ANY kind of Damage, paint, broken, whatever, will be replaced.

Also, that SSC will inspect each replacement piece and make sure there are no flaws before shipping it back out.

She said even if there is large number of damaged items, they can always get more from the factory if need be. Finally, she said she sits right next to Inthia and hasn't heard her mention those comments all day. :D

Re: Stealth Iron Man Flippers

This is why I didn't pre-sell mine even though I have every intention of selling. If mine comes undamaged I will sell it but wrap it in some tissue paper to avoid damage. Chances are it will be damaged though.

long live the flipper king!!!!

Great News! I was beginning to think seriously this is a major problem and it will be interesting to see how SS handles it. If what you say is true and SS satisfies every cusromer that purchased directly through them, now that's customer service. This will be a big test for this company. I think if situation is mishandled, they have the potential to lose some customers. Not everyone, I know, but still wont be good in the long run for them if they leave unsatisfied customers hanging.

Re: STEALTH IRON MAN PICS

I have only one thing to say, and I'm only gonna say it here, because I begin to feel like a broken record after a while. Please feel free to repeat as necessary... So listen up :)

Please (please please) do not believe everything you read on the internet. If YOU receive a piece that has visible damage, PLEASE contact our customer service/returns department before panicking because of what someone on a message board has posted.

Per information from our Returns Department, damaged Stealth Iron Mans will be replaced on a first come, first served basis in the normal fashion - IF an email with photos and all pertinent information (name, order number, etc.) is received by our returns department. Don't dilly-dally, start the process immediately, as soon as you open the box. Here is the link to our 30 Day Return Policy if you don't know where to begin: https://www.sideshowtoy.com/cgi-bin/category.cgi?category=returns (please note, there are different procedures depending on your location)

Please allow at least 2-3 business days for a response. If you send in your photos/email once, there is no need to send the same request repeatedly, as every email ties up the process even longer.

We know that it's fun to get out the torches and pitchforks and run with conspiracy theories against the evil corporation. Heck, we do it ourselves ;) But, honest, Sideshow is not out to swindle you or take your money and run. We always try to make things right, and when things aren't perfect, we do our best as a team to make them at least a little better. It just sometimes takes a few days when lots of stuff is shipping. So thank you for your patience :duff

Re: STEALTH IRON MAN PICS

I opened mine up finally after sitting in a meeting that I forgot about until 5:00 PM holding the Stealth IM box next to me having to answer 800 times what it is and what I had it delivered to work but unfortunately mine is scratched up as well.

There are medium sized scuffs on his spine, his lower torso, his knee, his right side of his chest. There were many more than I thought and I was shocked at the hardness of the styrofoam and the plastic casing that seemed to have caused all damage.

You can barely see it displayed except the spine and not sure if its worth the funds to ship it and then ship a new one back....although it does bother me....

Re: Stealth Iron Man Problems- Post the specific flaws you see on yours.

I have scuffs on his knees, his spine, his left side of the torso, his right side of the torso, his thigh, his elbow....it seems the more I look at the more I find.

At this point I just want to know what paint coloring to get and I'll repair it myself. I don't want to go through the trouble of sending it back.

I don't understand then what part of Dusty's answer that you dont get?

It has nothing to do with the answer at all. I just reporting my finding like many others did in this thread. I didn't complain about anything with returns just that I'm debating whether its worth it or not......what about my response did you not understand.

Okay, simmer down everyone.

If you want to go through the return/exchange process, it's an option. It is never NOT an option (although sometimes in cases of really old, long sold out AND long shipped items, there's no replacements - then they try their best to make it better in a different way).

If you don't want to, you don't have to. You can get some paint and buff it out yourself, or you can face it so the damages don't show, etc. If it's not going to bother you, you don't HAVE to return/exchange it.

Can I buy you all a drink? You know I totally would if I could ;) :duff

What do you mean worth it? SS pays for shipping on returns both ways for defects.
