Who'd have ever thought we'd actually get this guy in 1/6th? Just awesome.

Elvis, you mind telling us the run down of your mods there? Looks great!

Here's the list of all the mods I have done so far.

First I stripped the whole figure.

Switch the body with a bootleg narrow tt and used this fatsuit to make him look more imposing.

I dye the outfit in brown and weathered it.

I repainted the armour completely to give it more contrast. Out of the box it's just black.

I also shortened the neck a tiny bit to give him a more hunch look.

I really want to swithc the hand holding the weapon, the sculpt of that hand is very poor.

Thanks for the rundown, Elvis! I think I'm going to try a few of those mods, too! (Though, I'm sure it wont turn out as well as yours!)

Yeah his right hands are pretty awful. Both the fist and the gripping hand. The Gondorian torso and the weapons are a little rough, too, but not as bad as those hands. It's a testament to how good the rest of the sculpting is on the figure is that I really, really dig him anyway.

Right out of the box, the left elbow on mine (the crippled "meat" arm) was totally busted, but that's fine since I'll be swapping bodies anyhow. Anybody else have that issue?

The left arm on mine is busted too.

Yeah, the elbow joint is totally broken in mine. The forearm is completely separated at the elbow. The only thing keeping it together is the clothes. It's possible that the joint's just come unplugged, but I don't think so. I'll know more specifically once I strip him down to start the weathering and modding this weekend.

Not sure about my elbow -- it seems firmly attached, but it is likely backwards as it won't bend very well in the direction it is supposed to.

Have to say, this is a badass figure in hand. Very striking. Very ugly... in the best possible way. Very heavy too... which I actually like and may just keep the lame body for that reason. He doesn't stand very well though.

Interesting note -- I never realized that the fur on his back was a cape (pelt). I always thought Gothmog had a furry back. :lol

My head paint looks pretty good (if I can use that word) but I thought there would be more hair patches on the back of his head. Mine has just a tiny patch at the back of the head and a lot crammed in his left ear. That's it.

The red outfit is darker than it appears in photos but still too crimson. The armor isn't as bad as I thought (meaning plain plastic) but it certainly needs weathering.

All in all, this figure just ROCKS! Note that I have been wanting a Gothmog since ROTK came out.

Here's some unfutzed straight-from-the-box pics...
