I have been looking at the at the brown and blue figure's photos side by side. Noticed that a few are the same for each figure, the only difference being the colour of the coat. The photo of the figures with the gear laid out and a couple of others are the same, right down to the creases in the fabric etc. Since the blue looks so vivid in some of the pics, I reckon SSC didn't have a blue coat when the pics were taken and instead altered the colour in post. In other words the blue coat we can see in the pics probably isn't what we're going to get.

But what about the picture I posted yesterday that looked almost black? Maybe they just turned up the saturation to alleviate confusion when ordering.

They both look great. It was a hard decision for me but in the end I let my wife and daughters decide. The vote was unanimously blue. I reiterated the fact that I thought brown was screen accurate blah blah blah but in the end it's about esthetic. Blue it is. I do hope I can get a brown coat after market though. Would have paid extra for both right away.

Got the EXCLUSIVE Exclusive blue.

The only reason they specify that blue is exclusive to the site is because brown is available everywhere else, whereas the second sculpt is not.

You can actually see the lint on the left shoulder is the same for both pics, good eyes.

I will definitely pick the brown jacket, although I considered this option strange only a few days ago. In my opinion, Han looks more ´grown-up´ and realistic wearing the brown one. From the collector´s point of view, the blue one sounds like the better investment ...

Let's not forget that the brown one was wet and icy, so it was darker with tinges of ice on it. It will look more "screen accurate" darker. So wetting it and/or darkening it with black and a tinge of blue may work.

I decided not to place my order for any version. I am a bit irritated at the way Sideshow handled this release putting out three versions and making it so you have to buy two figures to get both coats. It just doesn't sit well with me so at this point I am passing at least until it gets released. I'll make my decision to buy or not at that time. Besides, Sideshow 1/6 figures never sell out before release so no rush to order anyway.

That does seem to be how a lot of people here make their purchasing decisions.

Though in this case apparently all the blue images are photoshopped so we actually have no point of accurate comparison at all. Who knows what the blue coat will actually look like.
