Replacement arrived. crack on the back, hair curl is chipped, black streaks on the cape, chips on both ears and finally the bottom of the S is painted black on the front where is should be red.
Sending this one back for a refund, I don't think SS cares at all about QC.
I was told the replacement would be opened and checked to make sure it was perfect. Perfect?? Perfectly junk.
Of course I had the liver spots again, if that was the only issue I could have lived with that, but not with all the issues it has for 700+

Sorry to hear you had such bad luck with your replacement. I got my replacement and it had a few issues as well and they also told me that they would inspect the piece before shipping. I agree with you, really poor QC on Sideshows part. I don't think they even opened the box and inspected any of these. I also will never be purchasing from Sideshow again. When spending that kind of money on a piece you don't expect to receive crap. Too bad it was a great sculpt by Andy as was his Batman but both finish products had QC issues and should have never been shipped out to the customers. I guess Sideshow does not care about customer retention.

Sorry for those who didn't get an accpetable bust. I feel very fortunate to have recieved an issue free bust. Sideshow better fix this issue.

I feel that sideshow is going to do a massive repaint just like how they Mark iii and Batman.

finally got around to opening my replacement. definately better than the first one. The paint apps (especially the eyes) are very nice.

But, it still has a few of those "marks" around the neck. Hopefully an eraser will do the trick.

I don't know how it looks in person but in the pictures I am really bothered by the big eyes looking in opposite directions. Why does Sideshow seem to mess up so often with the eyes?

I did a quick mod on one picture from this thread (I think it's Tamato's?) and IMHO the eyes somehow kill that otherwise great bust.

I totally agree with you. That's why I am only getting the Batman bust. Won't have eyes issue.
